I decided to change up my listening bracket and stagger my months to make things more interesting. Although, I'm sure the results will be the same either way...as of right now, Sunrise on the Reaping is #1 for the year with Atmosphere running second.

Ooh two choices this time in #BookBracket2025, both were tough!! In the end, I went with Time's Agent as the winner twice. It's a super unique queer science fiction novel about "pocket worlds," aka small alternative universes, wherein time is either slowed down or sped up. It's a beautiful and smart meditation on motherhood, climate collapse, grief, capitalism, colonization, and the nature of time itself. And a great ending!

This one is about 1/3 fiction (the folk tales) and 2/3 nonfiction… so I‘m running with it as nonfiction.

This was actually an easy choice for me. Honestly, this one stuck with me for days after I finished.

May Pick is Dead of Winter
It won it's spot by default because most of my reads this month were romance, DNFs or just OK. I did like Dead of Winter. It was a very Agatha Christie style murder mystery in the snow but I was able to guess the killer pretty early in the book so I wish it had more mystery.
