I really enjoy these wildlife thrillers. Learning about the animals while trying to figure out the mystery makes it a unique read.

I started this yesterday on International Women‘s Day, which I thought was fitting. I‘ve always thought Ann‘s voice was awesome, and that both she and Nancy were badass! This was a great account of their career - the highs and lows, the sexism in the industry, and their sisterly bond.

#pop24 - autobiography by a woman in rock ‘n‘ roll (this is technically two women, but it still counts 🤪)
A cozy mystery with an excellent cast of characters. Reminded me a lot of Janet Evanovich. I look forward to more books in this series.
This veered occasionally to soap opera “territory” but would always pull itself back. I liked the author‘s use of history, family research, and her imagination to craft an interesting and enjoyable story. This was a Seattle without Starbucks!

From Scotland to the state of Washington in the 1800s.
The McIntyres fled Scotland and their life of luxury to a life of poverty, struggles, grief, and heartbreak.
Heartache and history in this beautifully written book with great descriptions of the lives of the characters and the setting.
Lots of sweet characters, but of course there has to be one villain. 5/5
