The Life Intended
The Life Intended | Kristin Harmel
Sliding Doors meets P.S. I Love You in this richly told novel from the author of The Sweetness of Forgetting about the struggle to overcome the past when our memories refuse to be forgotten. After her husbands sudden death over ten years ago, Kate Waithman never expected to be lucky enough to find another love of her life. But now shes planning her second walk down the aisle to a perfectly nice man. So why isnt she more excited? At first, Kate blames her lack of sleep on stress. But when she starts seeing Patrick, her late husband, in her dreams, she begins to wonder if shes really ready to move on. Is Patrick trying to tell her something? Attempting to navigate between dreams and reality, Kate must uncover her husbands hidden message. Her quest leads her to a sign language class and into the New York City foster system, where she finds rewards greater than she could have imagined.

#7days7covers #covercrush Day 1

The Life Intended is one if my favourite chick lit novel. Is a wonderful story with all the feels. I read it a few years ago and still remember every detail from the book. If you haven't read it yet, read it now.
I read slovenian edition and reallyvlike this cover.❤

An absolutely wonderful read!! Loved this book so much! I can't believe it sat on my shelf unread for 2 years! What's wrong with me???
It's a book about taking chances, about trusting your heart, about believing that everything happens for a reason!! Highly recommend!

She considered this. “It says someone can be thinking about you even if you can‘t see them. Maybe they can even love you and you don‘t know.” (Page 173)

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Have you read any of her other books? I added some to my tbr list. 7y
TLVZ721 No! This is my first and I‘m completely enamored. I came across it because I was looking for books similar to the movie “Sliding Doors”. I can‘t wait to read more by her. I have “The Sweetness of Forgetting” on my hold list at the library. 7y

I was looking for something light and easy after finishing The Alienist and this one hit the spot. Very page-turny (totally a word) and enjoyable. The author even wrote the end in such a way that I didn't hate it even though I totally expected to.

valeriegeary These flowers though. 😍 7y

Such a beautifully written book. Kristin Harmel writes with such emotion and depth that I feel attached to her characters as if they were real. You really feel love and loss as though you were experiencing it yourself. I have a sudden need to find and devour all of Harmel's books, if they're all done so beautifully.

So much more than the beach read I thought this was going to be. Packed a real emotional punch. At times perhaps a little obvious this was a lovely story about love, loss and family.
