JulAnna It was fun to re-read this. I was surprised at how much content from the Shawshank Redemption movie was actually not in SK‘s original. Also, these are the stories that I wish everyone who dismisses him as a ‘horror writer‘ should read. There is some just plain good writing here, imo. 5y

DGRachel @JulAnna I agree wholeheartedly. It‘s been nearly 30 years since I‘ve read The Body, but I remember loving the writing so much. 5y

Readingismyescape @Karkar I listened to this one and found Apt Pupil hard to get thru. The writing is good, but the story is tough. 5y

DGRachel @teainthelibrary We‘ve been going through all of King‘s books in publication order for about a year and a half now. It‘s a very casual buddy read. Each books starts on the 19th of the month, with open discussion on or about the 18th of the following month. It‘s open to everyone who wants to join in.
