I‘m not sure we can trust goodreads there‘s some fantastic books 📚 on there not rated as highly as you‘d expect but then again reading is such a personal thing ; anyway I‘m only 50 odd pages into this and I‘m loving 🥰 it , if it hadnt have been recommended to me I doubt I‘d have picked it up , must admit I can‘t remember Rosaline in Romeo and Juliet so reading the play alongside it

Suet624 I agree that Goodreads can not be completely trusted. Rotten Tomatoes too. 2w
Karons1 @Suet624 oohh yes and those naughty tomato🍅 website people Iv noticed that 😂 2w
dabbe I could be wrong, but it seems to me that the reviewers can be quite harsh on goodreads with their ratings. #imho 😃 2w

Bailedbailed

This started strong, but I wish it had been allowed to not lean into e youth of the main characters. At times they were very strong, brave and intelligent, then the next chapter whining about not being trusted/believed. I respect this as a well written YA book, but I am bailing at 50%. A #roll100 pick off the TBR!

PuddleJumper I felt similarly. Got a bit frustrating after awhile 4d

Pickpick

I started this book sometime last year and maybe because I was in a slump, I just couldn't get through it. Picked it up again and finished it in a few hours! Once the plot gets rolling things get really interesting and I honestly fell in love with all the relevant characters, lol. I especially loved Juliet, which I didn't expect, and the Friar was a close second. Lots of raw Feels involving romantic, brotherly and familial love, and friendship

Apparently you can only borrow 10 books A MONTH on hoopla with your library card?? I'm so confused 😕😕 which means if I want to read novels, I have to go to my libro library again 😂 my hoopla checkouts were all comics, anyway, this is also a #netgalleybacklog but one I started and didn't finish, let's finish it this time around 😉 interesting so far #romance #lgbtq #gay #joyousjanuary

Andrew65 10 books a month is rubbish! 😫 1mo
