Haven‘t been around much because we are moving. This is our first morning in the new place. It was warm for most of the moving process, but yesterday the weather returned to our usual mild coastal weather. Hopefully it will stay that way since now we have to clean the old place. I hope to reign in the chaos before I have to go back to work in October. 😊

I‘m so excited this is the first book in a cozy mystery series because I freaking loved and totally related with Mavis charter! The characters and mystery were really solid and I enjoyed the little dash of romance. I am very excited to read the next book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a beautiful book, both in content and physically. That cover art is gorgeous and there‘s some great full color photos included. However, I mostly listened to the audiobook which was very well done. Perry does a fantastic job of writing about black culture and experiences over time using the color blue. From “haint” blue to The Blues, this was expansive, education, and also lyrical.
