willaful @CBee It took me quite awhile to really get invested in it but I'd say yes. It evokes more old-fashioned romantic series, like Elizabeth Peters' Amelia Peabody. The main character is prickly and difficult and doesn't have any idea how smitten her love interest is. And there's a lot of fun lore. 4mo

CatLass007 I‘ve had Fredrik Backman‘s Beartown in my Audible library for a while now. Audible is beta testing its Maven search. You enter a prompt for what type of book you want to listen to which, in this case, I entered “freezing locale.” Maven will bring up about a dozen books that might fit that description. It‘s not always effective but this time it was. Two of the books on Maven‘s list are in my collection. Others need to be purchased.Beartown: A Novel (edited) 4mo
