I‘m interested to see if Fourth Wing can be beat. 😍💛

What a book! I know there‘s a lot of hype but now I get why.. that ending 🤯 I love fantasy books but anything with dragons 😍
I just finished the second book so that review is coming 🥰
Oh my gosh.. I started reading this last year with my partner. We had more time and read together often. We had some schedule changes and I‘ve been reading solo this year, but I haven‘t worked up the nerve to resume Fourth Wing.
I finished ACOTAR and needed a break from romantasy, but I‘m back baby!! Excited to dive back in. I hope she‘s every bit as dramatic and magical as I‘ve heard. 🫣✨

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I get the hype, I really do. However, the very prominent and frequent lusting of the two main characters and graphic scenes kind of took away from how good the rest of the book was. Also the romance between Violet and Xaden felt a bit immature at times, especially towards the end. There were several majestic moments and plot points that I absolutely loved, and the cliffhanger demands for the sequel to be read.
It‘s been a while since a fantasy book has been able to capture my attention and all I want to do is binge read! 5/5!!
Okay, I'm officially hooked! I highly enjoyed this second part of the graphic audio more than the first. I didn't hear Violet talk about how hot Xaden was as much as the first part (this was kind of annoying). I was not expecting the ending, nor was I expecting my reaction when one of the characters died. Overall, I give the entire book 4.5 stars.

5✨ The plot was well thought out and there was a real element of danger. We do lose people both good and bad. The dragon element was perfect, and I love the young dragon. We don‘t really know who to trust, and that ending was a huge shock! The hype was true for me. There was a warning for sexual content in the audio, which I appreciated, but really besides three scenes it was not too overwhelming for someone who doesn‘t want to read it.
Thank you for the gifts @hannah-leeloo 💕🥰
We had so much time opening the package. Leja loves cat unicorn toy and I can't wait to read Fourth Wings.

Finished listening to Part 1 of the graphic audio of The Fourth Wing. It ended with the unbounded attacking Violet. I enjoyed the first part, especially when they met the dragons. Now I need to get the second part.

Pre order is available for book 3 to be released January 21st 2025
Even though I haven‘t read iron flame yet (it is literally on my list for this weekend) I am so excited to have a release date for the 3rd book!
Violet must beat the odds to survive and become a (dragon) rider. Then she has to choose between the kingdom she's been raised to protect and the well-being of the entire realm. Suspense, action, steam, and Violence. A definite 5⭐️ read!
I've been doing much #audiocooking at this trip. I am listening to Part 1 of the dramatization of The Fourth Wing. I feel like I'm listening to an epic soap opera.
Today's breakfast: my version of healthy chilaquiles.
I held off reading this book, because I was worried it wouldn‘t live up to the hype…welp, I was wrong. I finished it in less than 2 days. I was so desperate to start the next that I started reading the online sample😂.

Highly addictive. I will admit I am a bit of a sucker for romantasy but I did feel less icky after listening to this than some of the others. The world-building is good. Enemy to lovers trope is a bit tired but an academy setting always pulls me in.
Sex scenes are quite graphic, which I don‘t really have an issue with but sometimes awkward on audio.
Proceeded immediately to the second book.
Not usually a fantasy fan, but finally gave in and read this one based on the hype and I loved it. I‘m all in!
“Hope is a fickle, dangerous thing. It steals your focus and aims it toward the possibilities instead of keeping it where it belongs—on the probabilities.“
This book was insane! It‘s been forever since I‘ve inhaled a book like this. Terrific fantasy, dragons, heroes, all the things. Hunger games meets the Dragon Riders of Pern. Warning: there were some truly cringy sex scenes. Otherwise- phenominal!
I am so disappointed on all levels: not original story elements, badly executed tropes, predictable plot twists, bland love interest and cartoonish antagonists. The action and fighting scenes were good but they do not warrant the hype. Worst: The "Oh My God" phrase in the bedroom is so overused and here was nothing original about it. I have read so much better romantasies.

I read it (how could I avoid it? It was fun, whatevs, will read the next...) but can now only think of Anne McCaffrey (rip), the O.G. of thirsty, violent people with psychic bonds to large flying reptiles. I dunno if all the Tairn/Andarna/Violet stans are aware? But they should go read The White Dragon immediately.

Afternoon tea at 10,000 feet and several hours of uninterrupted reading time! ✈️
The hype about this one made me curious. And what fun it turned out to be, having that rare “one more chapter, bedtime be damned” addictive pull. Eager to get my hands on book 2 of the series.
(Pic is from a silent book club meet-up a few days ago, which was the reading session when I got well and truly hooked on this book. But I‘m glad I didn‘t get to the spicier parts while reading in public — I‘m a blusher.)
I should have bought the sequel with it. Tore through this one quickly. Send me to a world of shirtless fighters, dragons, and a little romance any day.
Switched to audiobook so I can listen as I cook meals for the next few days - the narrator is doing an excellent job with this one!
Welp. I wanted to love this the way so many do but I‘m kind of floored by the lack of world building and the half dozen plot holes. Fantasy requires some suspension of disbelief but this was…something else. It also felt very YA until the final quarter, and I have whiplash. 😂
Not sure I‘ll return for part two. But I do think it‘ll fare better as a television series. Maybe?
4.8⭐️ there was a lot of hype connected to this book, so I went in with the expectation to be let down. Two chapters in, I was like great, here is more of the same thing. But I was wrong, and it was so good and so worth the hype. However, I refuse to read the next one until at least book 3 is out and we know when book 4 is coming. #BookSpinBingo #DoubleSpin
20 hours of listening flew by while I was swept up in this dragon fantasy with a kick-ass heroine! Hopefully it‘s a short wait for the sequel because I‘m suffering a big ole book hangover.
Library holds clearing. Normally not a fantasy girl. Let‘s see if I stick with this!
Brought the tagged book with me to my Vday mani/pedi appt today. Goal is to finish by the end of the week so I can spend a solid week with Lauren Groff for #AuthorAMonth & also finish some BHM/romance-y titles for February.
I get why it‘s so popular - very Harry Potter (fanfic?) meets Game of Thrones. Dain is already on my nerves but so is MC so… 😜
I am not sure I have words for how much I love this book! I was worried that it wouldn‘t live up to the hype and it absolutely did! I was pulled in from the very first word and it didn‘t let me go until the last! And that ending??? Holy moly!!
My jury duties are officially complete so I treated myself to a lil spree at one of my fave local indie bookstores.
Only got about 10% deep into Fourth Wing while I was waiting. I‘m enjoying it so far - well fleshed out world building even if the MC is a lil cringe uwu at times. 😅

I know this is technically two lines, but on did not feel complete without the other.
