Doing a hybrid #BookSpinBingo card this month. This includes five books from my #BookSpin list, including the BS and DS, plus a number of general categories. I'm too eager to read some of these to wait!
Here‘s my #bookspinbingo board for May. I really like this board. I like making these boards every month. For the free space spots, I decided to put butterflies on them which makes sense because my background has butterflies in it.
Here‘s my #bookspin picks for this month. The numbers drawn this month were 18 and 4. My #bookspin pick is a physical ARC I won from a Goodreads giveaway a long time ago and my #doublespin pick is a mood read. I don‘t know what that will be yet but when I‘ve read it then I‘ll add a picture of it on this graphic. I‘m excited about these picks.

I can feel a book slump coming on so I hope I can turn the tide with some books I am excited about after a fairly disappointing Women's Prize Longlist.

Not only am I woefully unprepared for May but I don‘t think I‘m even ready for April! Where did it go?!?! I didn‘t cross a single book off in April. So anything is an improvement this month!

This month is a bit of a mixed bag. BS is set up well with two free spaces next door, but DS is sort of hanging out all by itself haha I'm excited about starting a new board!! Thank you all so much for playing along with me. There is something so fun about getting a fresh start each month and seeing where it goes!! April was really stressful for me, so I'm ready for some spring weather and good books!!!

My final April #BookSpinBingo card: 15 books finished, and 3 bingos! It was a great reading month despite April being the busiest month of the year at work. I think this is mostly thanks to audiobooks and reading while watching baseball on TV. I really enjoyed The Women, First Lie Wins, and Funny Story.
April was a busy month. I didn‘t read as much as I would have liked, and I didn‘t get to my #BookSpin and #DoubleSpin picks yet. But I am in the middle of several great books right now. Plus, I finally got a bingo!

It‘s been a while since I did #bookspin because my brain only had so much room around chemo. But chemo is done now and I‘m having surgery on Monday, so I should have lots of time to read while I recover! (And knit… my surgeon said that knitting is a great recovery activity!) I just need to resist the urge to make a bingo card. I don‘t need more challenges right now!
I got 3 bingos in April with a good variety of books. There were some good nonfiction, a couple 1001 books, and some pure fluff reading as well. It was also a very good audiobook month, with just one low rated book.

Bingo! April #bookspinbingo was a success. As always, my reading is all over the genre map. I‘m happy to report that I completed both my #bookspin and #doublespin this month. Those books were my favorites of the month. I had two DNFs which is unfortunate, but I‘m also kind of proud that I‘m getting better at acknowledging what isn‘t working for me.

It took me awhile to fit this in the frame, but here it is. I have managed to read 7 books on my Kindle so far - I figured out how to make Alexa read the books to me - not much emotion in the voice, but it worked for me. Then I looked at the books on Stuff Your Kindle Day for Romance and Cozy Mysteries and I got a few more - oh my! Only a few - probably 7. At least I‘m at zero again… I know…ugh!
