Knocked a few items off my #HalloweenBucketList last week. Picked up some caramel apples, made a caramel pumpkin cake for a pumpkin dessert, and had a friend over for hot chocolate (White Witch Hot Chocolate from the tagged book) and a spooky movie.

So while they may not look very pretty or exactly like the book, I made my first treat from the book @BennettBookworm sent me. These apple hand pies are tasty and that is what matters! I will need to get a apple shaped cookie cutter though 🤔 #bakingwithbooks
pickThis book has great tea party ideas - including savories, sweets and matching teas. I‘ll admit most of the recipes are beyond my culinary skills (which are very low) but I did tab two recipes to try - toasted cheese buns and long John‘s lime cookies, both inspired by Treasure Island.

Yesterday I attended a literary tea party held at a bookstore. We dished up recipes from the tagged book. Imagine eating delicious sandwiches, pastries and cakes from favourite book lands like Narnia, Wonderland, Middle Earth and Sherlockian England surrounded by the books themselves. I made the King Arthur Sword In The Stone Cheese Bites! It was one of the #bestday I had in recent weeks. We had so much fun and food! 😋

All I had to see was Earl Grey Dark Chocolate Lavender Truffles - definitely making those this weekend. Custom recipes and blended teas to the likes of C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, Agatha Christie, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Etc. What a wonderful idea! Love this book and hope there's a follow up.
