As a lifelong Anne fan, this was perfect. The illustrations captured the setting really well and it was a faithful adaptation to the original.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is a really cute and generally well-executed adaptation, however, the lack of scleras made the eyes look a bit odd. I know that‘s nit picky, but I‘m just being honest. Otherwise the illustrations are really beautiful. Anne still touched my heart.

It‘s strange to love a place like you would a person, but I do!

I loved the Anne of green gables movies when I was younger! Eventually once I got older I tried to read the book but got bored because I had seen the movie and had ideas as to what would happen. I would definitely recommend this version for younger kids to read before watching the movie.

GRAPHIC NOVEL VERSION. This is a great way to ease kids into the real Anne of Green gables books! This is such a cute story and may seem unimaginable to some kids. Some kids may love the spunk Anne has throughout the book.

I LOVE Anne of Green Gables the book and movies, but I feel that the graphic novel was a bit let down in comparison. There was so many good parts left out, and the transitions were not good.

After seeing Litsy comments on Anne of Green Gables I decided to order a copy for my Grand Children. It gave me the opportunity to order A Summer in Sicily by Jo Thomas as a gift for my partner and a book for myself, The Darker Arts by Oscar De Muriel. The two latter books are due to be published in August.

Enjoyed this graphic novel adaptation of one of my favourite books. It made me want to reread the books!

This is such a treasure. I got it from the library but will be adding a copy to my own personal library. It covers the essence of Anne‘s adventures and imagination. The illustrations are enchanting. I swoon! This is a must for all Anne lovers. #librarybook #readwomen

I‘m looking forward to giving my niece this lovely, graphic novel adaptation of one of my favorite books from childhood. Mariah Marsden distilled the original story beautifully, and Brenna Thummler‘s art captures the tone of the story perfectly.

A delightful retelling of Anne‘s adventures. The illustrations were lovely and the adaptation was well done.

I really enjoyed this graphic novel adaptation of Anne of Green Gables. I thought the illustrations really capture the mood of the book - so beautiful. Sure, it doesn‘t have the detail of the novel but the author and illustrator clearly love the original book and have done a great job of paying homage to it.

5⭐️honestly I couldn‘t be happier with this graphic novel adaption. The artwork is breathtaking and the author still shows the beauty of Montgomery‘s original story. I hope to purchase this one in the fall for Clift Library.

This new Anne of Green Gables graphic novel is oh so lovely. One of many books I received for Christmas this year.

A big fat Meh. The illustrations are gorgeous, as evidenced by the pictures, but the adaptation was less than ideal. Or at least it wasn't what I wanted.

This graphic novel is fantastic! Being obsessed with all things Anne - when we discovered this book we thought - oh yes !! Anne / graphic novel !!! Brilliant. My daughter isn't a fan of the illustrations.... I enjoy them.

My favorite quote, making me so excited for Fall, in an excellent graphic novel adaptation of Anne of Green Gables. Though sometimes it felt rushed, I think it definitely hits the highlights of the book, and the art is beautiful. Also, after having read Kindred in graphic novel form, I'm a huge fan of this concept.

It was refreshing to spend time with the real Anne after watching Anne with an E. Though at first I did not like the illustrations, they grew on me much like Anne grew on Marilla.

Earlier this year you'd have been right if you'd said to me "Graphic novels are #NotYourNormalGenre." They held no appeal for me and you could have hardly made me read one. Now, over half way through the year and I find myself turning #TimeAfterTime to this genre willingly and eagerly. I don't remember which title it was that drew me in, but I'm here to stay! ?

I love Anne of Green Gables. The book, the movies, even some of the retellings. I was excited to see a graphic novel adaptation but unfortunately this fell short for me. The illustrations seemed mediocre and even though much of the dialogue was taken from the original, it didn't hold the same whimsical spark.
