Oh man lol
Can someone who is a George R R Martin fan tell me what all books are in the series ? Game of Thrones?
Is that the name of the series or has this author written another series ? The Hubster is looking for something new. I am clueless about these books.
And how many books are in the series and how many are yet to come ? Are the ones pictured all in the complete set ?
Thank you
What a perfect booklovers Christmas Carol! I‘ll be singing this all Christmas- thank you sweet friend ( Ps... love the Christmas bookmarks too!)
I have forced myself to read a lot of books. But no book have forced me to read it like A game of thrones. I love the way its written, especially the varying character POV. For a moment you will be in cold and green winterfell and the next you will be at hot and wild grass lands of Dothraki sea.
My dirty secret is that I love Cersei from The Song of Ice and Fire series. 😍 And I'm always so torn about it, because there are so many reasons to hate her! But I guess I love how she is fearless and kind of brutal, making her mark in a man's world. 🦁 💕 She's certainly not my favorite character (Targaryen pride!), but I do really just love her to pieces!

It's a little late for Halloween posts, but I just saw this on the Gram. Such a cute costume idea! And you just know the 'treat' they're asking for is Winds of Winter. 🤣🤞🏻
What happens when you ask Siri random questions when you first wake up.She also told me I should have chocolate for breakfast.
When you play a game of thrones you win or you die.
I didnt think I would ever read this book as it is so huge. But now that I have I thank the gods(old and the new) :P
The series is undoubtedly dark. The sex scenes and violence are spread throughout the book, but it was never too much. I think it was a fair balance for the story being told.
I usually pick my favorite characters quickly, I loved Tyrion,Daenerys,Jon ,Arya & ALL the direwolves.
Charming interview Nerdette talks to George !
I loved the episode recap podcast that Nerdette did with Peter Segal - I can absolutely feel her fandom!
#SoaringScores #ThisIsBerk The last season for sure!!! My first thought when I think of dragons 🐉

Yesterday night was the Chicago Public Library‘s annual Carl Sandburg Literary Award dinner and, as always, it was super fun. Dr. Eve L. Ewing (writes nonfiction, poetry & comics) received the 21st Century Award while George R.R. Martin received the Carl Sandburg Literary Award. Also enjoyed a great conversation with the author at our table who wrote a book about Chicago in the 60s. So many authors...so many books...so much fun.

Cats and books! This picture is from awhile ago but I love it so much! Having fun getting ready for fall
I‘ve never seen an episode of game of thrones but I‘m always impressed with Gwendoline Christie‘s red carpet style! GORGEOUS!
#soulseptember Daenerys from the illustrated edition. #ohmother of dragons !
This book needed to end because I spent too many nights staying up till the wee hours reading this addictive story! Super entertaining and addictive. Now I will watch Season one of the show.👍
My Daenerys keyring gave up the ghost yesterday after a year of faithful service - drowned my sorrows with this one! 👌
I may be the only human on earth who hasn‘t seen the show yet, but I have deceived to read the books first. I was up until past midnight and can‘t seem to put it down today either. Thank goodness it‘s Saturday!
In the parking lot at the art museum today.Just has to share.
I SEE what all the hype is about now!
This was certainly an epic novel with well developed characters, wolf pups, and dragons!
I grew to really enjoy the writing style and the change of characters between chapters. By far Arya and Danny are the best. I definitely enjoyed their perceptions the most.
While I did watch the series, already I see how the books are so much more detailed. Can‘t wait for the next one!!
1. Game of thrones.

So I‘m not a GoT fan, but I‘m really digging our English department T-shirts this year!

Did anyone watch this video today? I clicked on it because it had GOT and i saw it on trending.
And i don't think anyone could have made a better explanation for why the last season was terrible.

If anyone is a GOT fan and disliked the last season, the video is worth a watch.
“It was queer how sometimes a child‘s innocent eyes can see things that grown men are blind to.”
On this day - August 6 1996 - A Game of Thrones was published 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
“He had touched her cheek, his thumb lightly tracing the line of a cheekbone. ‘Life is not a song, sweetling. You may learn that one day to your sorrow.‘”
“‘Most men would rather deny a hard truth than face it,‘ the dwarf had told him, grinning. The world was full of cravens who pretended to be heroes; it took a queer sort of courage to admit to cowardice as Samwell Tarly had.”
“‘Let me tell you something about wolves, child. When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives. Summer is the time for squabbles. In winter, we must protect one another, keep each other warm, share our strengths. So if you must hate, Arya, hate those who would truly do us harm.‘”
“‘Can a man still be brave if he‘s afraid?‘ he heard his own voice saying, small and far away. And his father‘s voice replied to him. ‘That is the only time a man can be brave.‘”
“Now you know why you must live. ‘Why?‘ Bran said, not understanding, falling, falling. Because winter is coming.”
Taking a mid-afternoon tea break, here are a few pics of what we have been up to the last two days!
For GoT fans, the bottom left pic is Thingvellir Park, where the N American and Eurasian continental plates meet up, & also the setting of the Eyrie. 😃
I also had some of the best hot chocolate I‘ve had in a while! Off soon to see a puffin colony and the black sand beaches around Vik.
#bfcr2 Met all my goals already for the week! 🎉🎉
“‘Every flight begins with a fall,‘ the crow said. ‘Look down.‘”
Saw this on the EpicReads Facebook page today!
♉️- Insists they read books first.
Guilty as charged! 😳 I‘ve only read the first two books in GRRM‘s “A Song of Ice and Fire” series to date, and so I‘ve only watched the first two seasons of “Game of Thrones”. If I plan on reading a book that has an adaptation, I always read the book first. Until “Winds of Winter” comes out, I won‘t watch the final GOT seasons... which is probably a good thing! 😂
#BookMail Pt1 Kicking off this fortnights mail with this beautiful Edition Of The 1st book in A Song Of Ice And Fire. I have the original paperbacks, bought as they were released, but they changed designs for the last books & so I don‘t have a matching set. I‘m buying these Special Edition Illustrateds as they come out, I especially love the illustration of Daenerys as she emerges from the flames with her baby dragons. Folio Editions are next!
The lovely @Jas16 is celebrating her 100,000 Litfluence by having a giveaway! The author whose signing I would most love to go to has to be George R R Martins. To have a stack of Signed Special Editions of A Song Of Ice And Fire would be so perfect. I‘d clear a shelf in my library & fill it with GOT swag & books &..... sorry got a bit carried away. Check out her original post for details on how to enter🙌 #signmeup
