So true.
Each chapter is a vignette of a staff member or a guest aboard a luxury spaceship hotel. So many characters to keep up with and really, not much happens. This is more character driven and I prefer plot driven! I‘m not really sure what the author was trying to say or what the point was.

#pop25 - book about space tourism
Rose is planning a wedding for a relative from St. Olaf, and when Dorothy‘s date to the wedding turns up dead, she becomes the prime suspect. This was just a good, silly time, and I loved it! I‘m not saying that the story was groundbreaking or anything, but I think the voices of the Girls were captured nicely. Lots of 80s nostalgia and references to things that actually happened on the show!

I‘m always up for a Jane Austen retelling, and this one is an #lgbtq+ retelling of Emma. It‘s my pick for #readordonate for May!
This is my pick for #fictionaltraveler for May!
Family secrets are revealed and new and old loves are found when a grandmother and granddaughter make a summer visit to the Italian island where their family is from. A decent read and the descriptions of the Italian settings will make you feel like you were there - or at least make you wish you were!

My pick for May for #thematiccozies! It‘s the first in a series, and the MC (and amateur sleuth) starts her new job as head gardener of a wealthy gated community.
I couldn‘t take it anymore and I had to finish! I can‘t say too much because I read this with the #LittensLoveRomance group, but like the previous books in the series, this one is also an emotional roller coaster. The author has a great talent for writing tension and twists!

I have finally read this! Obviously I‘m not the target audience for it, and I just never thought much about making it a priority. But it was delightful! I can see why it‘s so beloved.
And I am curious about which Hogwart‘s house I‘d be sorted into 🤔

This was just okay for me. It was character driven, so there‘s not much actually happening. I prefer plot driven stories!

I loved the 80s setting…brought back some memories for sure. This is a sad love story, but a really good one too.

Another cute and steamy installment in the series! 🍓

A few months ago when I found out there was gonna be a Golden Girls cozy mystery, you better believe I preordered it! Can‘t wait to read it!
This was a wild ride…got very twisty near the end! Four female friends in an affluent Australian town make up The Running Club, and their comfortable lives are upended when one of them is found murdered on the running track.

#pop25 - a book about a run club
This was an odd book but it did pack a punch! It‘s for sure a huge metaphor for how much moms give to their children, as well as what they‘re expected to give. It‘s so well written and Baker does a great job writing suburban thrillers!

This was just okay, nothing special, but it was repetitive in places.

I just adore this series and this is another fun installment! Finlay and Vero are so awesome, and let me just say, Mrs. Haggerty redeems herself in this one! If Cosimano keeps writing these books, I will keep reading them.

Six teens head to spring break in an RV. In the middle of the night somewhere in SC, they get lost and the RV gets a flat. Then the friends realize they‘re not alone. A sniper is also there, demanding that one of them reveal a secret before sunrise. The friends have to figure out which one of them is being targeted, or they all will die. This was tense throughout and I didn‘t want to stop listening!

Tangled is my favorite Disney movie and I really enjoyed this modern retelling! There is a lot of character growth in the MCs, and I was charmed the entire time. I‘m also a big fan of writing duo Christina Lauren, so I guess I‘m doubly biased! This is the 2nd book in the series that I‘ve read, and definitely want to read the others.

So enjoyable! The author, a lifetime lover of animals, shares essays (most previously published in The New Yorker) about all kinds of animals. From tigers, killer whales, donkeys, rabbits, and of course, cats and dogs, all the essays are pretty wonderful! Would recommend to any animal lover.
March was a great reading month…ended up with 3 bingos! ☘️
I‘ve enjoyed this author‘s other books, so I‘m making it my #readordonate pick for April, just for the extra motivation to finally read it. 😂
I really enjoy this series! I‘ve been reading it out of order…this is book 1. 😂

This was really cute, and I liked both MCs, but I never got fully invested in their romance. I loved the Irish setting and would so hang out at Kelly‘s Pub!

Oh my goodness, this was soooo good! Haymitch‘s backstory is great, but it‘s so heartbreaking, and I‘m emotionally wrecked. I loved all the connections made to other characters in the series and thought they totally worked. Just a fabulous read and a great addition to the series!

Happy Friday! Things that brought me joy this week:
1. St. Patrick‘s Day
2. My AirPods…I use them pretty much every day
3. The brand spanking new gym that I joined
4. A visit to a float spa
5. The arrival of spring

I‘m not sure how I feel about this book…I mean, I liked it but something about it also grated on me but I can‘t say exactly what. I kept going back and forth between liking the MC and not liking her. A low pick!

I‘m trying to decide which Irish book to read today…I have several 🤪
I‘m totally not reading these in order, and this one is the 3rd in the series, where the MC Siobhán O‘Sullivan has gone from bistro owner to her first day as a garda. She immediately gets entangled in the investigation of a murdered American who was in Ireland researching his genealogy. Very enjoyable and I didn‘t guess the killer - love this series!

I read the other 2 books in this series last year, both were enjoyable, as was this one. Each of the books focuses on one of the Murphy brothers, who after the death of their father, are left the family business, an Irish pub empire. But their father stipulates in his will that each brother will have to marry within a year, or else lose the business.
