Premise: Video-game designer Viola is conflicted when she gets the chance to create a game based on her favourite novel series, on the condition that her company collaborate with its archrival, whose proposal is being led by a man who wants nothing to do with her (and who also happens to be her longstanding crush).

For being such a quick listen, this is a satisfying, spicy trademark Ali Hazelwood romance, perfect for sidestepping a book hangover from LOVING Deep End! I really enjoyed the setting—rival video game developer firms at a forced retreat to test if they can handle a meaningful and compelling installment of a beloved game. Fantastic!

Short, light, and fun. A quick listen that was perfect for a road trip by myself.
