This prompt made me think of "manly men" so I went with Hugh Glass.
Loosely based on a real person who survives a bear attack, only to be deserted, and continues to thrive solely on his thirst for revenge.
I will admit however, that this is one of the rare times where I think that the movie ? was superior to the book ?. Especially the ending, I found it so unsatisfying in the book.
Hectic couple of days so I fell behind on #MarchInBooks! I may go back and do the ones I missed but for now...I‘ve chosen #SherlockHolmes as my #bestmancharacter (with Watson sliding in for a close second). I love the dynamic between these two in any iteration and I love how these stories make me think 🤔

It‘s just too hard to choose the #bestmancharacter! 🙈 I could go with Mr Knightley from Emma, or Rhysand from the ACOTAR series. I even contemplated Dracula as he‘s such an iconic character. In the end I chose Gilbert Blythe as I was swayed by the TV adaptation! 😂😍 #MarchInBooks

I had the pleasure of reading all 9 books in The Fitz and the Fool story and the pain of the ending in this one!! No spoilers - a fitting ending too.
Also Fitz is a brilliant best man character 😁
