The Sisters Chase | Sarah Healy

I had to ponder this one to fully form my opinion. Easy to read and just enough tension to make me want to keep reading, but something just didn't sit right with me. I really disliked Mary and just felt terrible for Hannah. Now that it's been a couple days, I think this book is utterly forgettable.

I've been missing my little Gimli the past couple days. He had to be hospitalized on Saturday and we've since learned that he has a serious congenital defect contributing to his failure to thrive. cherinium Thanks! This is the danger of my profession. I do nursing care in a high volume emergency veterinary hospital that is used often by several local rescue groups. This will have to be the last one for me though. I only get employee discounts on vet care for 4 animals, and I cannot afford them without the discount. I have officially reached my limit. 💕 5y

He has a long recovery ahead of him due to all his injuries from his run in with a car, but he's taking it all in stride and has been a model patient. This book was enjoyable. I'm not quite sure it lived up to the hype, but it was fun to read.

In other news, my derpy boy is trying to pull himself up to the top of the messy bookcase. I'm sure there's something up there he wants to knock off, bc that's his thing lately. He has broken 3 custom made mugs recently, which breaks my heart. I cannot leave my tea on a table long enough to go pee. Ugh! #catsoflitsy #littenkitten #adventuresofthegmen

Scochrane26 My previous cat broke several glasses. I had lived w/ my parents briefly, & my cat & dad hung out in fam room, where dad let him knock over his glass. So, then I could never leave a cup unattended. Sorry for your mugs. Good thing he‘s cute. (edited) 5y

cherinium @Soubhiville @QuietlyLaura I should make the disclaimer that he is a bit mentally challenged due to a congenital defect (hydrocephalus) that obviously caused some long term brain damage. As he grew, the hydrocephalus resolved, but the damage was already done. When I got him, he had some physical limitations (jumping & balance), but he was able to overcome those over time. #specialneedskitty 5y

Soubhiville @cherinium one of my boys is defiant like that. He knows our buttons and pushes them whenever we aren‘t giving him enough attention. He opens cabinets, knocks things off tables, counters, and shelves, and sits right in front of the middle of the TV when we try to watch it. 🙄 I‘m glad your boy‘s health problems mostly resolved! He‘s a beauty. 💙 5y
