Am I the only one who does this crazy nerd thing where you go into a bookstore and snap a bunch of pictures of books you absolutely need--not want, need--& then add them to your TBR later 🤓? Sometimes I feel so alone in my biblio-ways 😔--thank goodness for @BookBabe ! Anyway, this one looks like a seriously fun and imaginative read. Instead of going on GR, I'm going to ask my fellow #Litsyans: have you read it? Ever read Mullen's other works?

tapgurl Trust me you are not alone! And has anyone here had to lie about going to the bookstore? I answered my phone at B&N very quietly and my friend said "are you in the bookstore AGAIN???" So I said I was in the grocery store!! 8y

Vexingcircumstance I use to carry a little notebook into book stores to write down books I wanted to read or buy later. Now I take photos of them. I think the photo taking look less like a crazy book geek than my little notebook did. Lol 8y

Zelma @Vexingcircumstance I used to have a little notebook too. I would write down titles for the library or my TBR list. @MrBook you are certainly not alone in this. Smart phones make it so easy with the camera. My TBR list is longer than ever! 8y

ohyeahthatgirl @britt_brooke B&N's prices on their website are usually competitive with Amazon and free shipping for orders over $25. I do that allllot. 8y

Zelma I haven't read The Revisionists yet but I really liked Mullen's first book. It resulted in some great discussion for my book club and I am always a sucker for quality historical fiction.

Lynnsoprano If it's not snapping pictures, it's jotting the title on my phone. Sometimes I just feel too conspicuous taking the pic. 8y

Vexingcircumstance I miss having time to wander book stores and make notes about books I want. I do it on Amazon now but it's not the same. My daughter will let me look in book stores for not for hours and hours like I use to. 8y

DreesReads I do it too, I could never get the good reads scanner to work. I always feel so conspicuous! 8y

Carissa-Green-Reads Be careful- bookstores may consider this to be "showrooming" - previewing their merchandise and then buying from a discounter - even if you're not. 8y

Amandajoy I do it too! I've seen the showrooming signs at my favorite indie bookstore. I'm always afraid I may get kicked out, but I usually buy something. Besides true book nerds should know we can't possibly afford all the books we want, right? 8y

Nonaroo Yes!! I do it all the time. It really helps when a few weeks later I'm in the store and I can go through my photo album and see photos of some of the books that I would like to buy. 8y

LibrarianJen I do it too. I go one step further and see if the library has it. If they don't I submit a suggest a purchase form. They always buy me books I want to read! Or I guess it's for the library, not really me but I get first dibs! 8y

Bklover I take pics of LOTS of books. I have a folder on my phone filled with pics of my bookcase shelves - one pic per shelf- so that if I am at a bookstore and I see a book I want I can make sure I don't have it already. 8y
