pickI started out reading this on Serial Reader but fell horribly behind and downloaded the audio. This weekend I caught up and then finished it. I was frequently amused by Evelina‘s complete naïveté in telling her story.
This audio edition includes an afterword by Orson Scott Card about reading this book because of his interest in Jane Austen that I found especially interesting.

I don't think this was the best book for audio, but it was fascinating. I have an annotated Dracula and I think this book is a great companion.
It pieces together writings, Oscar Wilde and history. It‘s a slice of LGBTQ+ history and how the community lived in mid to late 1800 Ireland. How all of this helped make Dracula. All of the influence, references, imagery, etc.
As a horror writer, I‘m trying to listen to the audiobooks available of the novels on the preliminary ballot for the 2023 Bram Stoker Awards. #horror #audiobooks
