TheAromaofBooks Oh my gosh, so funny. So... are you allowed to actually check out the books, or just admire them behind their curtains?? 4y

monalyisha @TheAromaofBooks Patrons can come in & pick up their holds (either through circ or touchless pickup) but we want to discourage them from browsing/touching the materials on the shelf. The curtains are clear so we can see through them to grab the holds (& so if they see something they like, they can put it on hold or ask us to grab it for them)! 4y

TheAromaofBooks Interesting!! Our library is still doing curbside pick up only, but I'm pretty stoked because the interlibrary loan is active again. For a while you could only get books that were at each library's physical location, and my closest branch is pretty tiny!! Most of my books come from other libraries. Now I've had a million holds come in at once! 😂 4y

I loved the TV show - yes, ALL seven series, and I even liked the finale! - so I bought the omnibus edition of the first three novels and felt meh! I only read the first installmment, which I'd give 3/5 to, then put it down intending to come back to it and haven't done so in several years, so time for somebody else to try it as I pack it off to the charity shop. It's not bad, by any means, just not where I'm at right now.

Got a phone call from mum today to say that our family cat Dexter had had a seizure and had to be put to sleep. He was a character and we'll miss him but we were lucky to have him for 14 years ♥️

MatchlessMarie @JoeStalksBeck It's hard to describe how I feel about it. I enjoyed the experience of the events unfolding, but there were times when I wanted to throw the thing across the room 😂 I really enjoyed Lindsay's narration if you decide to read the books, though. 7y
