A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas | Sarah J. Maas
A thrilling, seductive new series from New York Times bestselling author Sarah J. Maas, blending Beauty and the Beast with faerie lore. When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world. As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.Perfect for fans of Kristin Cashore and George R. R. Martin, this first book in a sexy and action-packed new series is impossible to put down!

Omg such an amazing addition to this kick ass series. SJM manages to break my heart into a million pieces and put it back together again multiple times throughout this book. I can‘t believe I forgot to review it earlier when I reviewed all the others πŸ˜…

Love it❀️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ so much happens but I liked the pace and the ending was strong. I really love all the characters and again I just wish was multi POV. I will admit there were a few things that I didn‘t like it just seem for the age of the characters using prick, vulgar gestures and sticking out tongues just seemed odd. I‘m curious where the story goes from hereπŸ“šπŸ“š so on to the next book.

WOW what a ride this book gave me!! Writing this review was hard to put into words since alot of what happened left me speechless saying "What the?!" and "Whoa i did not see that coming". Even tho this is only the 3rd book ive read by Sarah J. Maas and in this series i do have to say this series is becoming my 2nd Favorite YA Fantasy Series ive read so far this year and overall!!

Book 3 of the ACOTAR series is my favorite as I like rich story, adventure, battles, and new character revelations. Rhys, Feyre and family battle the wicked king of Hybern in an attempt to reunite fae and human in a "new" world.

Bk2 of #FabulousFebruary #readathon was the last in the original trilogy arc. This could‘ve been an amazing book but she tried to shove two books of action into one. IMO it definitely should have been cut off at Feyre rejoining the Night Court or even the battle of Adriata which would‘ve given more scope for Feyres destruction of the Spring Court. But no one asked meπŸ™„ #BookspinBingo #SeriesLove2023 #ChunksterChallenge

Omg. I was not prepared for the emotional rollercoaster of this book. I was sobbing uncontrollably. I think this one will for ever have my heart.

I listen on audiobook with graphic and that was a new experience too. It was as if I was listening to a play.

It wasn‘t my favorite but it kept me reading until the end. I had to know what happened next. Should I continue reading the other two books of the series?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Reading this book for the 3rd time, but with the knowledge of what follows in Silver Flames, made this almost a completely different experience.I found it more emotional than before,&I am still just as glad that there are many more pages with these characters to read. With this series,I read the 1st so fast to get to book 2,&then book 2 is just so good, I can't read it slowly. This one slows me down a bit, but I wish there was more to savor.

I have high hopes for this upcoming month, and plan to average 3 books a day.πŸ˜… Overly ambitious? Probably, but I couldn‘t narrow down my list anymore, so I‘ll just try to read them all! πŸ˜‚

Currently listening to the tagged audio, then onto a few mystery/thrillers before the month is up. February first brings all the romance for the start of #Loveathon.

I can only listen to audiobooks while doing mindless things so I‘ve been listening to this since October. SO ready to be done with it so yesterday I fired up my Kindle for the first time in quite while and now I‘m reading it with my eyeballs as well. The sync functionality between the two is fantastic! This is the first time I‘ve ever read and listened to the same thing at the same time. (This is a reread before I read ACOSF for the 1st time.)

#20 Court of Wings & Ruin Finished!

Besides this being a chunkster, it felt necessary compared to the previous. Last two pages were superrrr corny but they deserve it after everything. Not cool Sarah, you know what you did! Scaring me like that. The battle was emotional, wholesome seeing who aids & powerful. Everything was interwoven so well. Rollercoaster of a ride.

If I read the term β€œmate” or β€œvulgar gesture” one more time I was going to burn the book. I try to cut YA slack because it‘s….YA. But this book was annoying. The plot line was great. But these characters made me nuts. I‘ll finish the series but I can‘t wait until I‘m done

#17 Court of Wings & Ruin Ch 30 - 43 #doublespin
#18 Court of Wings & Ruin Ch 44 - 54

Hybern attacks Summer Court only the Night Court helps. All high lords come to the meeting even Tamlin who only insults Feyre.πŸ™„ Antitode to counter Faebane is made but heavily questioned. Pieces of what is going on with Elain start to get put together. Some BIG things happen, the battle will begin. More in comments.

CloakNQuill Amren explains how she escaped the prison, that the Bone Carver needs a body in order to be set free. The Cauldron has broken the wall. Elain & her fiancé end their engagement, tbh good riddance. Jurian reveals that he has been spying on Hybern the entire time & Tamlin again shows himself to be a traitor. Vassa is alive and hidden as a prisoner. The hunt for Miryam and Drakon continues. 3mo

#16 - Court of Wings & Ruin Ch 21 - 29

Feyre visits the Bone Carver to negotiate, wants the Mirror of Ouroboros in exchange. Mostly about gathering allies from each court for the upcoming war. I‘m in the middle section where a lot of what happens atm will be used/discussed during the major climax if the trend continues from the past two books. Elains state is about the same & Nesta‘s training has begun.
