I thought of this book first for the waves prompt--one I enjoyed a while back and still on my Kindle. No time for reading this morning, too busy right now on work stuff, but I did eat deviled avocado with Okinawan sweet potato hummus for breakfast. I was caught up in ordering gluten free toast & neglected to ask for two slices instead of chips. Ah well, I wasn't too disappointed-sometimes 🥔chips hit the spot. 😉😋

Enjoyed my first backyard deck reading day yesterday 🌞 #currentlyreading

This is a really unique book. It has so many different elements to it: magic, romance, suspense, family issues, etc. I really enjoyed reading this because it was fun and really held my attention.

Day 2 #riotgrams #whereiread I read pretty much everywhere. My favorite spot is the chairs in my living/dining room area, under a skylight. They swivel, are comfy w/pillows, have round ottomans for footrests or holding stuff & there's 2 chairs so Max hangs out w/me (& takes my chair when I get up). Other favorite places... my local coffeeshop on the marina, the beach of course & my couch w/lots of pillows & a light blanket this time of year. 📚💙

This was such a lovely novel about a mother and daughter, family secrets, heartbreak, and love! Lyrical and tender with poignant images, it warmed my heart! Thanks @klonsdale and #NetGalley for such a great book!😍

very satisfying beach read in more ways than one! plus I'm a sucker for psychic women. Got this one from Netgalley and was a nice reprieve between weightier and heavier tomes.

This isn't my typical read but something made me request it on NetGalley so here we go. Also pictured: Italian hot chocolate for my #12daysofhotchocolate project

This is so much more than a typical women‘s fiction novel, it seamlessly blends genres in a style that is uniquely Lonsdale‘s own. There is suspense, magical realism, drama, deep family histories, and romance. Somehow this all works perfectly and even though I don‘t normally read much with a paranormal aspect, it added something special to the story here.

Due mainly to some active hiding away w/a book rather than engaging w/others beyond Litsy. Some great books/audio books including my above 3 best of the month & The Library at Mount Char, Gulp, Stiff, & In the Blue Hour. I knocked 5 off my initial November TBR stack & hit my Goodreads goal this month too. 📚❤️👍

Molly has been taught to fear & hide her psychic gifts but is forced to confront them & her past when her daughter Cassie starts showing signs of her abilities. I got swept up in the story-a good blend of family drama, romance, & magical realism-as lovely as the sea glass jewelry that Molly designs. Good twists & the right amount of 'woo-woo' to make it magical while still believable. I received an ARC through NetGalley-it publishes on 12/6/16.💙

#FunFridayPhoto What made me happy this morning; a few chapters of this book-which I'm enjoying, maybe even more than the author's 1st book-along w/a delicious Hawaiian Honey Cinnamon Soy Latte & Acai bowl at my neighborhood coffeeshop/happy place. 'Me' time before getting work done. I needed to lose myself in the pleasure of a good book & this one full of family, love, secrets, sea glass & psychic gifts is pulling me in & hard to put down.📚❤️
