Just finished and it only took almost a month. I'm left speechless. The ending, can I just say wow?! If I say too much I'll give too many spoilers. Just please read this series. So much better than the shows!
“[F]rom the very start, there is that small streak of steel within. That thing that says ‘I am,‘ and forms the core of personality.
In the second year, the bone hardens....And ‘I am‘ grows.
[T]he hardening spreads from the center, as one finds and fixes the facets of the soul, until ‘I am‘ is set, delicate and detailed as an insect in amber.”

Finally got my copy of this from the library.
And I got engaged yesterday! 😊
Doing a little audio knitting this afternoon. I am really enjoying switching back and forth between audiobook and physical copy for the Outlander series. Especially the ability to speed up when bits seem to drag on tad. I do love the immersive effect of the narrators voice. #knittersoflitsy #audioknitting
It has taken me 2 years, but I finally finished it. Nothing wrong with it, it's just a bit slow. Also I tried to read it directly after devouring the first book (read that in 2 weeks), but was very put off with how this one jumped timelines. I thought I skipped a book tbh. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series, as I've heard books 3+ are amazing.
I loved book 1 in the Outlander series. I started book 2 three months ago. It‘s pretty long, so I‘ve been reading it here and there with breaks in between, but last week I really got into it around 50% and I‘ve been reading it every night before bed. Overall, I‘d give this one 4.5⭐️ - great beginning, fabulous ending, with a half star off because it‘s just too long. It definitely could have been shaved down at least 200 pages. Still, I‘m obsessed!
I quite enjoyed it, but not as much as the first book in the #outlander series. While there were moments of Claire & Jamie goodness, there wasn‘t nearly as much. Overall a great edition to the series 4 ⭐️ #letterd #d #litsyatoz2019 #litsy2019 #2019 #bookstagram #outlanderseries #bookreview
Went for a hike today and found the perfect spot (in a cave!!) to sit with my kindle for a few moments at lunch. Spain is beautiful and I‘m discovering so many new things I love about it everyday, but every adventure is better with a book 📖 #optoutsideandbringyourbook
I promise that someday I‘ll finish this book and start posting about others 🤷🏻♀️
Everyone‘s talking about Game of Thrones and I‘m over here with my whiskey rewatching Outlander for the 100th time. 😂 #outlander
Bailed on this novel. It just wasn't as interesting to me as the first Outlander book and I was getting to the point that I would rather do anything else except read this book more.
1. Leftovers, probably. So tator tot casserole, pizza, chili/baked potato.
2. It's tagged!
3. As many as I can! I'm about halfway through my reading goal for the year already, so I can't wait to see where it will be next month.
Because I loved outlander and the characters so much I am giving this a pick. I enjoyed getting to know new characters and finding out what happened next in the story. But there were many parts I found lacking . I think the section of the book where they were in Paris was a bit long winded I was ready for them to get back to Scotland. Overall though still a good enough story to keep me going and on to the next .
Enjoying my peppermint tea and book inside, while my poor husband is clearing blowing snow outside. -7°F but feels like -28°F. Working for the Dept of Transportation has it's good and bad qualities, tonight would hold a lot of bad. Send prayers and good vibes his way.
First day as a substitute teacher! I need to practice being more firm! Thankfully I lucked out and am subbing for the music teacher! Also it‘s middle school! Scary! Also in other news I have an interview in February to work at a library!!! 2019 is bringing the abundance I am manifesting ! Just need to keep positive! Also I like this book so far but also have mixed feelings about certain parts...
967 Pages in total, but finally finished it. 🍾 This is most definitely one of the biggest stories out there, I just wish I hadn‘t left it so long since the first one. It took me quite a while to get into it & overall not as strong as first one but grew on me more & more as it progressed. Jamie & Claire is such a strong relationship, just oozes off the page & makes these special. Oh but that ending of their story in this one. 😢 Then the twist! 😳
Six and a half years since I read Outlander, book 1 in the Outlander series. I have now finally picked up book 2, which I am doing as an audiobook narrated by Davina Porter, who I remember did a fabulous job of book 1. These books are great value for your credits - this one is 38 hours 54 Minutes long. #YearOfTheChunkster
Only problem is with a 6 1/2 year gap I can‘t remember all that happened in the first book! 😱😳
Very good. I listened to the audio version of this which in my opinion is the best way to read it, even though sometimes spaces in the paragraphs don't always come across as they should.
Characters and story were even better in this book, can't wait to read the rest of the series. My only issue is how the writing in the 1960's sections is in the 3rd person whereas the 1700's sections are in 1st person it made the story a bit disjointed
