NIV Bible eBook (New International Version)
NIV Bible eBook (New International Version) | New International Version
22 posts | 21 read | 3 reading
The world's most popular modern English Bible, now fully revised and updated and in eBook format for the first time. The NIV eBook is designed to be easy to navigate and has additional links for immediate access to key passages within the Bible. With over 400 million Bibles in print, the New International Version is the world's most popular modern English Bible. It is renowned for its combination of reliability and readability. Fully revised and updated for the first time in 25 years, the NIV is ideal for personal reading, public teaching and group study. This eBook edition features: * Navigation system to easily access Bible passages * Links to key stories, events and people of the Bible * Linked reading plan * Bible Timeline * Overview for each book of the Bible * Quick links to find inspiration and help from the Bible in different life situations British Text: This edition uses British spelling, punctuation and grammar to allow the Bible to be read more naturally. More about the translation: This revised and updated edition of the NIV includes three main types of change, taking into account changes in the way we use language day to day; advances in biblical scholarship and understanding; and the need to ensure that gender accurate language is used, to faithfully reflect whether men and women are referred to in each instance. The translators have carefully assessed a huge body of scholarship, as well as inviting peer submissions, in order to review every word of the existing NIV to ensure it remains as clear and relevant today as when it was first published. Royalties from all sales of the NIV Bible help Biblica, formerly the International Bible Society, in their work of translating and distributing Bibles around the world.

Because of the holiday weekend, I‘m posting the #WeeklyWrapUp book talk for the #BibleBuddyRead early, so you can participate at your convenience.
This past week we finished the book of 2 Kings with chapters 23-25, followed by Luke 1-18.

What was your favorite (or most memorable) verse(s) that you read?

What are your thoughts/takeaways?

What stood out to you the most?

Did you learn anything that you‘d like to apply to your own life?

BookBabe P.S. I‘ll be having a hectic several days until Tuesday, and then it‘s time for housework catch-up, so please forgive me if I‘m more delayed than usual in responding.

BookBabe I'll go first. There was so much exciting material in Luke chapters 1 & 2: the angel visiting Mary and telling her about her forthcoming miraculous assignment; the miracle of John the Baptist's conception; how baby John leaped for joy in his mother's womb, when baby Jesus in His mother's womb was near; the birth of Jesus and fulfillment of the prophecies about it. ❤️❤️❤️ 2y

“Blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth...”

Crazeedi 💗 I e always wanted to do a group bible study on the beatitudes. 3y
kspenmoll @Crazeedi It‘s amazing how ingrained they are in me- when I saw the prompt “inherit” the phrase from the Beatitudes popped right up in my brain! It‘s a beautiful passage & reminder for us! 3y

OK - I think this is finally my last post of the day. I‘m catching up but don‘t want to look like I‘m spamming your feed!

I want to recommend the Bible in One Year app to anyone who might want to read through the Bible this year or just read more of it. You read 3 fairly short passages a day and there are relevant devotionals each day.

I‘m going to try to keep up with this. As it‘s only 2 January it‘s not too late to join me and catch up!

Captivatedbybooks Thank you for posting this is something i have been wanting to try! 6y
Mdargusch I think I will try this! 6y

Sunrise side by side with baby boy. Tractor Mac and Nehemiah....Being reminded that you can do anything with the help of your friends, and that God is faithful to provide even after you rebel, turn away, reject, and replace him if only you cry out, repent, and return.

Although it's a Fun Friday Photo, I'm truly sad about the shooting deaths across our country&world. I've turned time and again to this wisdom on my shelf. This particular thousands year old writing of David+. Surely the ancients knew more than we do. My tears and prayers for all. @Liberty

SaraFair The best place to go. Which Psalm? 8y

Far fetched, with a very uneven writing style and too many plot holes.
