julesG @willaful I bought the book since it has a lot of my favourite quotes. Pratchett had a way with words that doesn't seem to get old. 9mo

willaful ā€A man's not dead while his name is still spoken.ā€

This one hit me particularly hard because I lost a friend some years back who was a very active and well known person in the internet world, and his friends did a version of putting him into the ā€clacksā€ similar to what was done for Pratchett.

Missing some very loved ones in my life I have started going back to the most comforting place in the multiverse: #discworld I've started to listen to #terrypratchett novels on audiobook (reading's still hard) in chronological order (halfway through now, in green) It immediately felt like the warm embrace of an old dear friend, companion and confidant. You're missed, Sir Terry, but never forgotten. #speakhisname

Heideschrampf @Moray_Reads he was my first (literary) love when i was 12 and will always stay with me, i'm sure. Discworld has become a second home, it's inhabitants like family. It is, however, the first time reading them in order of publication. Great to see the ripening and development of so many beloved characters. I wish there could have been more, but I'm glad that HIS spirit will always be there for the world and me... #wethen (edited) 7y

Terry Pratchett fans! The only Pratchett I've read is Good Omens, and every time someone shares a bit of Sir Terry, I wonder why I haven't started reading his work yet. What might be the best book to start with?

CherylDeFranceschi The first one in the Discworld series, it is definitely not his strongest. My favorite ones are the Tiffany Aching books.
