I‘ll be honest, it took me a good few pages to get into this one each time I picked it up. Which I think was mostly down to the Regency era dialogue and mannerisms. But I did really enjoy the book, which is mostly down to the wonderful Prunella. What a Crackin‘ Character!

Definitely should read some more Matt Haig. I enjoyed this one, just as much as The Radleys. Really liked the main character and his story.

Cracking conclusion to what has been a really enjoyable series. Joe Knezevich does a fantastic job narrating.

Black Knight is another great addition to the series, and you can be sure I‘ll eagerly be snatching up the next book in the series, as soon as I can get my hands on it!

Not really heard much about this series, but it keeps appearing in my audible recommendations, and I've enjoyed Luke Daniel's narrations before.

Unconventional is a really fun, geeky, read. You'll want to sign up for a convention as soon (or probably during!) as you finish the book. And you'll be rooting for Aiden and Lexi from the start.

Solid 3.5/5 for me. It both benefits and suffers from its brevity. But it does have some nice prose. If you want to read it, its best that you know little about the story itself. It's a little bit surreal, a little bit metaphor, a little bit Bildungsroman. But that's all you're getting from me.

The White City | Simon Morden

Pickpick

This White City is exactly what I like to see in the second book in a series. Building on what came before. Expanding and driving the story forwards, but yet, has its own self-contained story. It also has the kind of cliff-hanger I love. Leaving you desperate to know what happens next; not why did this book stop in the middle of a scene…

(Read as the individual issues)

As a crossover, this was a lot of fun. Good little story and definitely entertaining. I think it would have been weaker if it was just a Lumberjanes or Gotham Academy volume though. It is the meeting of the two that is the best bit. Do hope there's some more in the future.

Western inspired things usually are not my go to genre. And it took me a little while to settle in to this mix of western and fantasy properly. But when I did. I loved it. Nettie Lonesome is a fantastic character! Can't wait till Wordery deliver my order of book 2!

Just as much (if not more) fun as the first one. I'd say this one was stronger plot wise as well. Delilah & Selim make for great heroes. If you've not had chance to see one in person. Do so. The artwork is gorgeous! #comicsfebruary book 2

My thoughts on this one flipped between wanting it to just be done, already. And seeing myself tearing through the rest of the series. In the end, while I did enjoy it, and liked the gang at The Earl. I don't think I'll continue with more.
