7.24.19: Hey y‘all, I could really use some opinions! I‘m adding dates in my book journal and trying to decide which format I like best. I‘m having a hard time choosing between all numbers or spelling out the date though🙈 Thoughts are appreciated!
7.24.18: Ive officially finished the series! A quick read, but very good. I really enjoyed it!
7.24.19: Im halfway through!! It‘s really good☺️
7.23.19: Finally getting around to reading this!! Im liking it so far
We may have gone overboard with the souvenirs. 🤷🏻♀️
Guess where @WanderingBookaneer and I are right now!
Not what I would expect from the brilliant Harry Potter series. You can read my review at strsngebrewbookreviews.blogspot.com
@MoonWitch94 you were my #summerreadingswap partner. You will receive two packages one tomorrow and one Saturday from amazon marked as gifts but I didn‘t right on them. I am sick but wanted to get your swap out on time. My apologies. I think I only signed it stephanie. 🙈I hope you enjoy your packages!
As much as I disliked the reading of this play the actual production was amazing! The sets, lighting design, choreography, costumes...it's unbelievable!
I‘m late to reading this one, but I can say I‘m genuinely surprised of how much I loved it. I heard a lot of bad reviews, but honestly it was incredible reading about Harry as a father and the flaws and struggles that came with it (still not regretting a Harry Potter tattoo 😂) 8/2019 #harrypotter #theater
I didn‘t know how much I loved this until I saw it live
I‘m not going to survive this reread. I am crying already.
In the Modern Fantasy novel you spend way more time in Harry‘s world. The book is seen more so in a script format and basically states that even things that are being done for the right reasons can still go horribly wrong. The book is a very good Literature circle group, kids can discuss in a small group format the book and how they felt about it. The UDL strategy is 3.2 and the ESOL strategy is 10. Teach think, pair and share strategies in
I spent the weekend in Melbourne for a family event and did lots of shopping and exploring !
Since the play is on at the Princess Theatre right now they have a pop up Harry Potter bar in the city and it was so much fun 😍 more pics to come ! #harrypotter #melbourne #popup ⚡️⚡️
I‘m giving it a so-so because it‘s not really necessary to the Harry Potter world. I thought it was quite shallow compared to the other books, but that could be because it is a play. It just felt like a fan fiction instead of an actual Harry Potter.I did feel it is a guilty pleasure book where a part of me does like the book and did think the story was alright. I wish a novel version would be released instead of just the play.
What gets me is how Delphi can keep showing up at Hogwarts, and she can get in and no one notices her. I‘m sorry but it makes me question the security of Hogwarts. It‘s not even like she‘s a former student. She never went there but can still get on school property.
Does anybody else read ahead or check the internet to see if their suspicions are correct then move on in the book to see how it all plays out? I‘ve been doing that a lot with book 8 mainly because I feel as if this story so far had been a lot more shallow than books 1-7.
1 of 2, OMG @Endowarrior21 you did not! I can't even!!! You what!? You made the wand AND the book beau SHUT UP and a doll of Professor Mcgonagall whaaat!?
I have a sticky little Voldy now, thank you for adding to my funko collection. I have Ron and Harry now I need Hermione.
First ever Broadway Bill's always wanted to go to a show #springathogwarts #sah
I joined Litsy 3 years ago and my #firstpost was Harry Potter and the Cursed Child! Thanks for the #firstlikes @Liberty @Simona @RealLifeReading @ScorpioBookDreams @jessberk13 ❤️
Not many people enjoyed this...out of those that I‘ve talked to. Of course nothing beats the classic series itself, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was entertaining to read. You get a chance to see where the past characters are now, and a story to follow of their children.
Comment down below if you liked this book or not!
The fantastic Imogen Heap was at my office today to chat about making the music for HP and the Cursed Child, her upcoming tour (which I have a ticket to!!), and her love of the intersectionality of music and tech. Love her!!! I'm not even gonna hold it against her that she said she doesn't really enjoy reading 😆
I'm unofficially going to try and do a #24b4monday I say unofficially because I have a lot of homework and a test to study for as well. I'm going to try to get through 3 books.
Reading list : The Devil Wears Prada, Silver Sparrow, and One of Us is Lying
Also found this by accident!
Merry Christmas Eve!!! This was my favorite gift this year😍. Sitting cozy reminiscing about last weekend and Cursed Child with the hubs.
On the walk from the book club cafe to the buses, we passed this theater! Have you seen this play?!
The last episode in our Harry Potter series for Unassigned Reading is on the HP Extended Universe-- and @sebrittain and I have a lot of thoughts on it and on what makes canon canon.
You can listen wherever you normally listen to podcasts or at: http://unassignedreadingpod.com/book-talk-8-harry-potter-the-questionable-extend...
On Unassigned Reading, we just released our last Harry Potter episode all about the Harry Potter extended universe. Both @rachelsbrittain and I had a lot of thoughts about Cursed Child and Fantastic Beasts and we had a great discussion on what we think canon means.
You can check it out at http://unassignedreadingpod.com/book-talk-8-harry-potter-the-questionable-extend...
While this book didn‘t go much into the magic, as a big HP fan, it was fun to revisit some of the old Wizarding World characters and meet some new ones. While I did like the insights into the adult lives of the original trio, I would love to read more about Scorpius and Albus (don‘t think it requires another book though)! The play format wasn‘t off-putting at all! It read just like a book. But, I wouldn‘t consider this the “eighth story.” 4/5⚡️
