Hazel2019 I‘m switching gears in 2023 and deep reading some classics with the Hardcore Literature Book Club 😁 so less quantity, more quality! 1y

TheDaysGoBy Ugh, I have no idea what to put this year. I had done so good in 2020 and 2021 that I decided to stretch myself a little this year, which majorly backfired on me. I ended up reading like half my goal - my reading really took a hit this year. But now it‘s like, do I challenge myself to get back to where I used to be or lowball 2023? 😂 1y

TheDaysGoBy @Kappadeemom I always think it‘s amazing when people read 100 or more books in a year. My best year I think was 36 books 😂 It‘s so mind blowing to me but that‘s so awesome! What a feat! 1y

mrp27 I always start with the minimum of 52. I usually go above but always strive for the minimum of a book a week. 1y

So... Litsy has definitely helped me to read more. I know several of you read more than 100 books a year but I struggled to make it to my goal of 25 books last year. So this is progress for me. I'm thinking of upping my number. Yay! Also, this is all I use GR for. It wasn't a very intuitive app so I never learned how to use it otherwise. Maybe I need a tutorial?

Jennick2004 I just like that it keeps track of the books I've read so if I'm ever wondering did I have read one I can just check :) 7y

dariazeoli I mainly use it to keep track of reads, TBRs, and for its shelving feature. I'm really bad about participating in groups and remembering to like quotes! 7y

Can someone explain to me why I should keep up with my Goodreads account when I find Litsy easier to use? I opened good reads in 2013, got overwhelmed, and stopped using it. Input welcomed!

Maike I use Litsy way more often than goodreads, but I still find it easier to keep track of my tbr list(s) on there. Also, stats 😅😇 7y

Captivatedbybooks I literally only use it as a fast reference to update progress and keep track of books read. I prefer litsy 7y

JPeterson I use Litsy for more of the community, book recs, ect and Goodreads to keep track of what I read and my tbr list (though I don't always remember to add what I stacked here to gr). 7y

drokka Like most of the other replies so far, I don't socialize on goodreads. I use the site to organize, compile, track, and reference. If I could get all that from another site, I'd be long gone from there. Litsy, has an excellent platform for the socializing part, so that's where I do that. 7y

LauraBrook Same here! I use gr for tracking books I've read (and reading friends reviews). I socialize here and on LibraryThing, and LT is where I track my personal library too. 7y

BethM I'm tracking my books in a journal this year because I'm participating in my first ever challenge with #Litsyatoz so your input had been helpful! That has worked out fairly well so I can't see entering it all in somewhere. As for cataloging what I own, that would be overwhelming so I doubt that I'll ever do that lol. I was concerned that I was missing something over on GR, but it doesn't necessarily seem so. 7y

Wife I only use GR to browse for books. My TBR is only current on Litsy. GR is more cumbersome to navigate. 7y

I'm a little confused as to why The Marvels by Brian Selznick doesn't get counted towards my reading goal? It counts as a book read but not on my goal list. It's not a reread (though that doesn't matter anymore anyway) 🤔Weird.

Maike I've had that bug since January I guess. All my February books got counted but do not appear on that list. It's only in the mobile version though, it works fine in a browser. 7y

haileybean Thanks @Maike. I rarely check the browser version, and if we're being super honest. I rarely check the app at all. I have a pseudo-bullet journal I keep, I checked GR to double check my math 😂 7y
