Love the short, concise chapters… I do not like the print font of these books ~ when my eyes are tired, it is difficult to see the words clearly. (This is not an issue with other books I‘m currently reading)

I devoured this and loved Arlidge‘s style of writing ... no gumf just straight to the point in short sharp chapters that left you hungry for more .

I later learned that this was number 6 (I think) in detective Inspector Helen grace series ... not that you would need to read the others but I think it would give you more of a back story to her. After finishing I bought the first in the series “eeny meeny” which I‘m yet to read 😁

Fast paced in all the right places! It would have helped if I‘d read the stories before this but previous plot lines were laid out enough for me to understand their significance to this story without me needing to go back and read the others

This author does creepy, gripping storylines so well. Third in the series and I‘ve really enjoyed all three. Looking forward to the rest in the series.

Theo and I stayed up late last night to finish this book. He isn‘t thrilled to be up early this morning. I enjoyed this book. I felt like it wasn‘t as good as Pop Goes the Weasel but it was still really good! 🌟🌟🌟🌟4/5🌟

Reecaspieces Got to love the laziness of the pug....they are the best at it!! 😂 6y

After feeling like I‘ve been hit by a semi, I‘m finally feeling up to reading! Feeling a lot better and I‘ve been binge watching the 3rd season of Broadchurch. Soooo Good!

MicheleinPhilly Oh my goodness - we‘re twins. I just finished that book and we‘ve watched 4 episodes of season 3. ☺️ 6y
eanderson @MicheleinPhilly Haha! Oh goodness! I‘m loving the Helen Grace series. She‘s one tough chick! And I‘m loving DC Miller and how she can be a smart ass! I randomly started Broadchurch a week or so ago and I can‘t get enough! 6y
MicheleinPhilly A friend recently recommended Broadchurch. We watched the first 2 seasons last week. I‘m bummed that season 3 is the last because I LOVE Ellie Miller. Her facial expressions alone are gold. 6y
ghosthost I‘m glad you‘re feeling better. I need to see season 3. 6y

I‘ve been in a little bit of a reading slump. I think it‘s because I was frantically trying to finish up my Corrective Exercise certification before my deadline. I passed my exam but cannot work up the energy to read. So, I just wanted to say to anyone that may be feeling like they are in a slump, I feel you! 😒

MicheleinPhilly Congrats on your exam results! Slumps are the WORST but it will pass. Watch some fun Christmas movies instead. 6y
AmyG Congrats!!! And as my Mom always said...”this, too, shall pass”. Hopefully sooner than later. 6y

This is the 3rd book in the Helen Grace series and another thrilling read! It was the perfect choice to pick up when I've been dealing with all of the stress related to my husband having surgery. I couldn't put this book down and found it to be a very chilling read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

TrishB Love this series! Much nicer cover than I've seen before! 7y
Samantha.1020 @TrishB I love this series too! Each book so far has been a page turner!! 7y
Booksbooksbooks Do you have to read the whole series to read this book? 6y
Samantha.1020 @Booksbooksbooks No you don‘t have to but I feel like you might want to since things that happened in previous books are mentioned. It shouldn‘t stop you from enjoying this one though 😁 6y
Booksbooksbooks @Samantha.1020 thanks for the feedback! I‘ll look for the other ones!! 6y

The short chapters and bouncing around of multiple narrators was a bit more trying this go around. It picked up a lot toward the end, but ultimately it was my least favorite of the series.
