Somebody tell Clair Douglas describing the weather is not useful to the plot every few pages.

Hating every second of this poorly written novel. Such good ideas but so poorly written wit terrible character development.

Slow paced, Greg Iles is still an amazing writer no matter what.

We will see where this goes, so far it‘s a lot of awkward conversations and descriptions of bad vs good sex lives.... anyone read this? Does it get better?

I always love Greg Iles, this book was a darker one with a focus on child abuse and repressed memories but well written and a page turner.

Greg Iles is an incredible writer, only about 100 pages in but I‘m in love with his writing style. I also like how his penn cage characters make appearances in this book!

Picked this book because the summary sounded like a great mystery. It wasn‘t. So much focus on the decor of the houses and the friendships of the whole community. The only bright side was it was quick.

This book had a great story but I spent most of the time waiting for the book to end. I think there was too much description and focus on the relationship, I just want to hear about the murder investigation!

Amazing thriller by an amazing author. Greg Iles never disappoints!

Booknerd2 I agree with all of the above. Absolutely 💜💜💜 Greg Iles. 6y
Booksbooksbooks @booknerd2 @andrew65 from one Greg Iles lover to another, what other authors do you like that write similar to Greg Iles? (Genre or style?) 6y
Andrew65 @Booksbooksbooks Will give that some thought and let you know. 6y
Booknerd2 @Booksbooksbooks let me think also. One for sure might be Karin Slaughter. Not the historical twist but her books can be brutal and no one is safe. She has some series and stand alones. I use fantasticfiction.com to find books by author and series in order. Love it as much as Litsy.💜💜💜 6y
Booksbooksbooks @booknerd2 I just picked up a Karin slaughter book. I have some others but I‘m not sure if the order so that site will be great 6y
