I can't participate in #24in48 this time but I'll be rooting you all on! This book (and the whole series) is awesome! I love that there are struggles and naysayers and misunderstandings throughout, because it's so realistic but also inspiring. Just bought a copy for my cousin's new baby, and I will recommend it to everyone!
pickWhat a great concept. Not only is this little girl a budding engineer, creating and constructing all sorts of cool things from trash, but she fails. A lot. And that's awesome. The importance of failure - what a great thing to teach kids! Also, I love this picture, because one of my favorite things to ask my little one is to look at a picture of a person and imagine how they feel. You can only see half her face, and it still captures emotion.

pickI read this book on March 10, 2017. It was pretty great. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am happy that I bought it for my nieces, who are four (they're twins).
