pickI ended up packing this as a vacation book to read and devoured it before the plane landed - it was a short book to be fair! But if you‘ve ever read Blake Crouch then you‘re familiar with how immersive his books can be - I just couldn‘t stop reading. It may not have been my favorite of his works but I would recommend it!

This is the second book I brought on vacation with me and I am absolutely loving it! I‘ve been happily floating in a pool with my book and my coffee this whole vacation.
I can‘t wait to see what everyone choosing it for their #BOTM thinks because they‘ll have early access to it too!
Most of us do this, I suppose. But do you ever feel like the guilt of not reading from your TBR but continuing to add to it will suffocate you…and then you wonder what you‘re even doing in your free time that doesn‘t allow you the luxury?

My #BOTM box came while I was on vacation over the weekend! I‘m so excited to get into this because of all the hype around it! This was an add-on book for me and my main book choice was “The Names” because I really love a good dystopian story. Kind of bummed I couldn‘t get the cover straight on without missing out on the edges of this beauty!

I really liked this little novella - this can be read as a standalone without losing anything by not having read the first book (📖 #WhatMovesTheDead ). The cover art is a stunner again, I love all the art associated with this series so far. I‘m really getting into T. Kingfisher and this series is a great intro if you‘re curious also.
Airport read, seeing as how I only made it 5 pages before being interrupted the last time I opened this baby, I‘m hoping to be able to both start and finish it during this long weekend in Dallas.

This is a beautiful daisy book cover which makes me feel conflicted because it‘s supposed to protect my books but I also really don‘t want to ruin it. Adding another to my TBR from a late Christmas Present. 🎄

pickFinished Beautiful Ugly while I was at the emergency vet with this baby last night.
I will say, it definitely kept me guessing. It reminded me of how I went back and forth trying to decide which reality was the real world when I read Shutter Island or the Wayward Pines trilogy. I didn‘t guess the ending before I arrived there! I loved all the twists and turns, it was such a fun read.
Saw this in a kindle group I‘m in - grabbed it for $0 after using my digital rewards but it was only $1.99 for kindle today!
Still chugging along through my tattoo appointment.
I‘m about 55 pages in and I‘m already glad I picked this for my next read (should be studying but shhh). Short enough that I‘m going to breeze through this because I can already tell I‘m not going to be able to put it down. We have ghosts of the past, creepy gift boxes, moral dilemmas, oddities and a beautiful forest with old deep soul vibes. And The Edge of the World is described as my perfect escape from people (so far).
pick4/5⭐️ Always interesting to see another fan of Poe‘s take on The Fall of the House of Usher. This was a nice and quick read, under 200 pages and very easy to sail through if you‘re in a reading mood. I believe there‘s a sequel out there and from the cover I am sad to think about poor Hob.

pick4/5⭐️ - loved the first story by Sands, but I‘ve loved everything I‘ve read from her. The way she writes her characters makes it hard not to love them and I love how spicy they all are. I might have loved the second story following Cat and Bones more if I had ever read about their adventures before this. Loved the happy ending but found it hard to really get into their story.
I know it‘s after Christmas - but this has been on my TBR for a long time and I love Lyndsay Sands! Ready for something a little more steamy and exciting.
so-so3.5/5 ⭐️ - I think I was expecting something witchy when I picked this book up, it was an average read for me so it took me a while to get through it. However, it was much better than other reviews lead me to believe.
The book follows a 13 year old girl named Emily who is a twin. It highlights the pains of growing up to realize life is not ever as simple as it seems when you‘re young and perhaps naive of the world around you.
Okay - this is my best FB Marketplace find to date and I thought some of you might appreciate it! This is a “This End Up” bookcase from the 80s/90s I snagged for $60! Not only is it 7 inches taller than me but it weighs almost as much and it‘s a BIFL piece! 😍

I took advantage of the Barnes & Noble sale over the weekend - a lot of hardcovers were 50% off online, so I ordered for pick up at my local store and grabbed a couple B1G1 paperbacks while I was there.
Unfortunately my dust jacket is really messed up on “The Curse For True Love” so I‘m headed back to exchange it this afternoon.
Even though I was up until 2AM and it was technically the 28th - I made myself hold off opening my #NLHS until after I took my license exam. If you need me, I‘ll be over here yawning, but happily enjoying some R&R now that I can table studying for a couple weeks.

My favorite stocking stuffer - and probably one of my favorite authors to have discovered through Amazon‘s First Reads book program. I‘ve devoured a few of her book series, a couple of my favorites are the Spellbreaker Duology and The Numina Series.
This Christmas is definitely adding to my TBR shelf! I‘m so excited to read some of these books - how can I find the time?! I got these goodies in a secret Santa swap exchange. It‘s a cast iron tea pot and red velvet cake tea!
