#younevercantell what‘s at the heart of a novel when your protagonist narrator is naive of the truth himself! John Dowell‘s recollections of his role in the unravelling of a relationship may also be unreliable.

I loved this when I read it many years ago. But you know me, mad for a slow atmospheric classic with some awe inspiring sentences. 😋 I also loved The Fifth Queen. Any other fans out there?

Last Friday I went to a talk about the German TV series Babylon Berlin. Off course I bought the first to books in the series and the last book in Cusk‘s trilogy.

Today, I went To hear about a new photography book. I didn‘t buy that, but the top to books.

#YouNeverCanTell when it is the right time to start a book. I started this 4 months ago, read 20 pages, was bored to tears and sure I would hate it. So I put it down, and haven‘t been motivated to pick it up again. That is‘ until yesterday, where I read 120 pages in the blink of an eye, and enjoyed every second of it! Perfect example that every book has its time to be read 👌
