peaKnit Yes! Agree! My husband and I did an impromptu lip sync Paradise by the Dashboard Lights at our wedding in 1994 and my sister still talks about it. 😂 6mo

Like humans, bats only have one or two offspring each year, which increases their susceptibility to major colony damage from disease like white-nose syndrome or habitat loss. Recovery can be very slow. More than 200 bat species around the world are considered threatened. WNS alone has the potential to wipe out 90% of a colony in one winter. #batweek

SamAnne Loving your bat posts. Lost our colony of bats next to my house due to a shitty illegal development. It‘s been so sad. Really missed them whizzing past my head this summer while sitting on my porch. Such amazing beings. 6mo

TieDyeDude @samanne Thank you! Sorry to hear about your local colony. A group I follow is fighting constantly to have even legal development show consideration towards local bat populations. 6mo

SamAnne @TieDyeDude I‘m interested in what noticeable cascading effects we see? More mosquitos? We‘ve also seen far reduced butterflies, pollinators and dragonflies, not sure the cause of all of it—climate change weather for sure, habitat loss. We have a full lot with fruit trees, plants, vegetable gardens, native flowers, no pesticides or herbicides. I‘m really missing my bats and bugs. 6mo
