#StackAttack2019 #BFC This is a #DollarTree find from a couple years ago. Very creative!!! A young woman from a Vietnamese family has a connection to the Little House on the Prairie. Lee read the books as a child and realizes that a gift left for her grandfather in Vietnam is connected to “Rose” and is mentioned in one of the Little House books! She tracks down clues and finds a life of her own along the way. A solid 3/5🏠s. Cover love too!😍

#StackAttack2019 This was THAT book for me. I‘ve wanted to read it since I was 14 years old.... it absolutely did not disappoint. Brilliantly written, with a unique story. Gotta admit I love reading about dandy‘s. ☺️ and love the banter in this book plus the surprise ending.

1) Misogyny
2) Racially biased descriptions (not as much as the misogyny but still there)

I haven't shared this publicly yet, but I have a resolution for 2019. I've promised myself that I am not going to spend money on books this year in an effort to read more of the books I already own. The only exception to this is if I need a book for my book club and I can't get it at the library/Libby in time. We are 2.5 months into 2019 and so far I haven't broken my promise! 🎉😁

#StackAttack2019 Thought provoking in that it makes me wonder what life would be if books were banned...but overall, meh😐. I like the cover, but it‘s misleading because the shoes look like they belong to a child. No child characters in this book. 1/5⭐️s. A so-so is generous.

Cinfhen Read this for bookclub a few years ago! I HATED IT!!!! it was beyond boring but most of the ladies thought it was good. 5y

Lonesome Dove: A Novel | Larry McMurtry

1st 💯 pages were so-so. 2nd 💯 pages grabbed my attention. Then I had 658 pages of rapt engagement with the characters, the story, and the setting...all felt so real! So glad I read this American classic. BTW, the stars on the cover are metallic and “twinkle” depending on how the light hits...👍🏻cover design. It took me almost a month to read because I refuse to carry a huge book around. 4/5🕊s This counts towards #StackAttack2019

One Day in December: the most romantic, feel-good read of 2018 | Josie Silver

Well 😅 #UnpopularOpinion here but I didn‘t really like this one.😕 Maybe I fell for the hype... but the main guy was such a DOUCHEBAG 😡 I literally didn‘t even want him to end up with the main girl. I also wasn‘t a fan of the insta love thing.
⭐️ ⭐️ 1/2 Stars. One star because some of the jokes were funny and one star for a well put together ending. Overall not for me 🤷🏽‍♀️ #StackAttack2019

JamieArc I pretty much agree with you! It keeps being compared to Love Actually. I love that film and I didn‘t love this. I think I fell for the hype too, and I‘m glad I‘m not the only one who didn‘t want them to be together. It felt like being drug along with a train wreck just a little. 5y

He kept saying about different girls ‘no red blooded man could resist‘ I‘m like so are red blooded WOMEN expected to just be able to resist men? We‘re human too 😕 Couldn‘t believe this was written by a woman 🤦🏽‍♀️ and I bought this book instead of reading first due to the rave reviews!‘ Smh 😪 5y
