I really enjoyed this book. It‘s a solid debut novel. A few issues mostly I think because it‘s a debut, but nothing that diminished my enjoyment. I loved the magic system and the beautiful lyrical writing. I flagged several quotes. I look forward to seeing what this author does next.

Book 3 for #MarvellousMarch

Finished for my virtual foodie book club & enjoyed it. It‘s fun & food-filled as a chef is taken captive by a female pirate captain & must cook her a gourmet dinner each Sunday to stay alive. He gets quite creative with limited provisions & conditions on the ship. My bookish dish is this Potato, Cod, Garbanzo Bean & Saffron Stew, combining various ingredients from the book.

Got my #bookspinbingo board done & got to color off a square.

This was an incredibly fun, snarky take on a grim reaper. I love Charley‘s sense of humor & her relationship with her friend Cookie. I also found the idea of a grim reaper helping lost souls find peace & pass through her to the other side a fascinating take. I‘ll definitely continue the series.

I finally got to open my #bws package 😍😍😍😍 I am OVERWHELMED. THIS PACKAGE WAS INSANE! Made mine look dinky in comparison. Literally cried. Thank you so much @moonprismpower. It is all stunning. I love it all so much.

This is an excellent started book to tarot. Melissa makes it easy and fun. I studied it most of the day Sunday & I‘ve started doing a single card draw each morning for practice and reflection.
