Bookworms rejoice! These charming comics capture exactly what it feels like to be head-over-heels for hardcovers. Book Love is a gift book of comics tailor-made for tea-sipping, spine-sniffing, book-hoarding bibliophiles. Debbie Tung's comics are humorous and instantly recognizable--making readers laugh while precisely conveying the thoughts and habits of book nerds. Book Love is the ideal gift to let a book lover know they're understood and appreciated.

In November, I still felt like I needed more grief support, so my reads were pretty heavy. But I highly recommend them all, if and when you need to process grief in good, compassionate company.🔸#novemberreads2021

#224 Been meaning to read this graphic novel for a couple of years, and was finally able to borrow it from Overdrive. After reading, I immediately purchased my own copy! Such a cute book, and I‘m certain every litten can relate. The drawings were all black and white but were cute; it‘s the amusing content that really hit home! 5⭐️ just for peeking into my life! #2021

Holy cats, I actually read ten books in September!! 🙀 Call it stress-reading. I‘ll just talk about eight of them. (And yes I know it‘s almost the end of October already. It‘s been a 😵‍💫month, I‘ll just say that, so better late than never!)🔸#septemberreads2021

I ended up devouring nine books in August! This is what happens when I find myself needing more rest while dealing with stress and recovering from a flare of my chronic illness. Since I can‘t eat much during a flare, I get hungrier than ever for words.🔸#augustreads2021

3 STARS - This was a cute graphic novel that was a fast read and a good pick for this book nerd. Not as funny as I had hoped and a little too much of a Hallmark greeting card feel, but it hits all the points you'd expect.

When I‘m in the thick of my own real-life drama, my book picks tend to yo-yo back and forth between light-hearted and melodramatic. I read both ends of the spectrum in July. What do you like to read when you need to escape from the stresses of your life?🔸#julyreads2021

It‘s been a hectic summer, so I‘m in catch-up mode. In June I read six books, but I‘ll just mention four of them here: a couple of inspirational nonfiction titles and a favorite trilogy I started re-reading for my book club‘s July re-read theme. Choosing just a few titles was tough, as there are always at least a dozen books I want to re-read at any point in time. Which books have been on your re-read list for a while? 🔸#junereads2021

Here are my February reads! I apparently decided to start Lent early with a couple of books on spirituality and faith. Since a close family member was recently diagnosed with cancer, I also wanted to read something that would help me be supportive to them. And after the stressful Texas winter storms, I was really craving some happy, achingly heartwarming stories, so I met the Vanderbeekers and fell in love with the whole family. #februaryreads2021

Trying a new twist this year on sharing my favorite reads. I love writing book reviews but am finding less time these days, so I‘m retiring my Book Review Roundup (at least for now) and instead I will be posting Monthly Reads, sharing my favorite titles each month with minimal comment. Here goes! Starting with January because I want to catch up. (Note: [at]alysonimagines is my Instagram handle.) #monthlyreads2021 #januaryreads2021

alysonwrites I want to make more time for visual art this year—both hand-made drawings and computer aided graphic design. So I‘m not writing as much, but I am designing my own graphics for this new series, experimenting with using the monthly calendar as a visual grid and also trying out a limited color palette. 8mo

Not only do the staff at the local branch recognize me and my daughter, know our names - one of them puts aside books he thinks kiddo will enjoy! - they know my car now, and apparently recognize my voice when I call for curbside pickup. I think we might be their most frequent flyer these days.

Ruthiella I love it when library staff are like that! 😀 9mo

Mahalo for the tag @BookishMarginalia 🤗Being a Libra my usual this or that answer is BOTH!🤷🏻‍♀️

1️⃣ I lean Hardback, esp books I want to keep
2️⃣ With-usually🍵or☕️
3️⃣ Both + audiobooks-depends on the book
4️⃣ Moody reader here & books for reviews/read-alongs get in the way of my TBR
5️⃣ Both but I end up with more fiction
6️⃣ Depends on my mood-I like different genres
7️⃣ Both! I have more time at night but😴

Has anyone not played yet? 😄

💜Hardcovers preferred — love me some dust jackets and endpapers!
💕Read with drinks AND snacks of course
💜Audiobook and print #immersionreading
💕Mood reader with a huge TBR
💜Both fiction and nonfiction (mood!)
💕Romance, I suppose, but really cozy mysteries rule!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖 2020.10.11 Trying to get back in the habit of reading print books for at least 10 minutes a day. Grabbed this book given to me by @Louise and ended up finishing it in less than 30 minutes. So cute and so many scenarios for that are true reflections of me. It was also super satisfying to finish it in one sitting given how harried my days are of late.

NikkiM5 I love the idea of reading from a printed book each day ❤️ I use my kindle 99% of the time but I have started to buy books from garage sales and thrift stores, just to hold books again. Trying to build a home library. 14mo

A cute & relatable montage for all book lovers! I smiled & giggled all throughout the book & felt I found someone to relate to about the magic that books have. They comfort you, educate, introduce you to eccentric people, etc. It's not all fun & games, though... There‘s hardships of being an avid book lover; such as not having enough time to read your books, or even worse... not having anyone to talk to about the great book you just finished!
