As a book lover, I love this book. I laughed so many times as I saw myself as the main character. There isn't a plot, but rather a description of what it means to love books. Absolutely adore and recommend for anyone that reads.

Getting ready to start this. I just finished a book last night and looking forward to this one. I've heard a lot of good things.

I absolutely loved this book. It really has given me insight to myself and made me feel less different. Introverts and extroverts have their own strengths and weaknesses. If you are are an introvert i highly recommend this book.
I give it four stars because some of her stories are a little too long. Occasionally they take the reader away from the text instead of enlightening her point due to their length.
White Stag is a boundless adventure that I enjoyed and read in a few hours.. While the writing is simplistic, it had a good plot. Watching Jenneke, a human thrall slowly evolving into a goblin, struggle with the two parts of herself and accepting herself was beautiful. Lots of action, violence, fight scenes, torture, and gory details. There is even some allusion to sex and rape, but didn't go into details.
“If there was only one solution to every problem, the world would be insanely dull...“
“Words are potentially dangerous weapons that reveal things better left unsaid.“
It did take me a couple of chapters to get into the story due to the time change in the story, but it was easy to follow once you knew what was going on. Her beautiful depictions of the wildlife and landscapes was breathtaking. My heart broke and re-mended so many time for Kya. However, to be honest, at times that there were some challenges with believability and predictability. (But, for me, this did not pull me out of the story too much.)
“There are some who can live without wild things, and some who cannot.“
I enjoyed reading Anderson's collection of poems. He compares humanity to nature using vivid description. Many of his poems spoke to me and made me think. However, there were a couple of poems I just couldn't get into and only skimmed. Overall, I highly recommend this book of poetry.
You are as natural as any postcard landscape
and you deserve the same love.
Your thoughts are spun like cotton candy from flesh and electricity
and you expect to be perfect?
Our minds, science, and technology
are similarly nourished by defeat.
Every memory is a ghost and the house they haunt is you.
Your moments deserve the same careful attention as your years.
“Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.“ - Howard Thurman
“People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.“ - Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
“Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.“
The dark does not destroy the light; it defines it. It's our fear of the dark that casts our joy into the shadows.
