Current audiobook. I've really been listening to a lot of audiobooks. It's just so calming to listen while driving. I seem to have the most time to myself in the car, so I might as well try to enjoy it. Just started this one this morning!

so-soMarissa finds her best friend dead on the beach. Was she killed? What happened? The premise drew me in, but the book itself left something to be desired. There was a lot going on and the connections didn‘t quite fit. The end of the book...just kind of stopped with no wrap up of events. It was interesting enough for me to wonder what would happen, but the way everything unfolded did not keep me in suspense or make me want to read more 🤷🏻♀️
pick4/5 stars: I‘m super late posting this review to Litsy. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was suspenseful from start to finish. I came up with multiple theories as I read this book. This is the kind of book that makes you suspect almost everyone. This is a short, exciting book worth reading if you enjoy a good page-turner. #jpbookreview #netgalley #arc #bookreview

pickMy first book from this author & a like not a love. Liked the twists the story took that kept me guessing but did not really like most of the characters & with just 250 pages, there was little time to develop them. But a fine, quick read & I'd read more from Banner. On the love side-the Cauliflower Rice Risotto Primavera I made for my book-inspired dish rocked. pickso-soThis one is tough for me to review! I was interested in the story, and I couldn‘t put it down, but the characters and plot weren‘t all that different from other books out there. I don‘t think I‘ll remember this one for much longer, but it was definitely a quick, entertaining read! I voluntarily reviewed an eARC copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

I had the pleasure of reviewing The Twilight Wife and was impressed, but unfortunately this story fell a little flat. The plot is interesting with enough twists to keep the reader vested in the story. When looking at the synopsis, this appears to be a clever book with an interesting cast of characters that are connected enough to add another layer of mystery. However, the characters were not developed enough and neither was the backstory.
so-soLiked the mystery of this book and how it kept me guessing. Yet, something felt off to me about the development and the way the author left things at the very end was terribly disappointing.

pickThis was more whodunit than psychological thriller. The characters are linked by childhood bonds and betrayals, each seeming to hold secrets that could solve the mystery of what happened the night Lauren fell from the beachside cliff. It kept me guessing! I can already tell this will be a big beach read when it's released in August.
