An early Charles Addams .Since he does so many people I guess is why this stood out .Flipping through the first anthology of New Yorker cartoons published in 1950.

Loving this cover.

I just couldn't resist a little Christmas cheer and things to come in the new year 😉🤙
#thenewyorker

#oversizedbook #riotgrams published in 2004 , this beast is 11 and a fourth inches wide 13 and and a fourth inches tall .And of course the name complete is obsolete since the New Yorker is still published . Yes, I love the political articles , the poems , the fiction, but anybody who won‘t admit they skim for the cartoons first is probably fibbing.😄

😂 therapist humour 💕

I love the cartoons in the New Yorker...especially the book related ones!

Spoiler alert from my previous post- I'm not doing any work. 🤖🔭🔬💊⚗️

I am so grateful for Litsy and The New Yorker. You guys may keep me from completely losing it for the next four (gulp) years.

The New Yorker heard our cries last week & decided to bless us with some less visually scarring cover art this week!
How many of us have done this. #LitsyConfessions, let's here them. 😂😂
For my confession, I don't need to be on a treadmill to trip over my damn self from reading a book. Lots of people about a month ago thought I'd be catching Pokemon but my nose was buried in a book on my phone. 😂

I can't win today. What the actual fuck is this The New Yorker?! I need to sleep tonight! 👸🏼
Does anybody have any eye masks I can borrow for the rest of the night so I don't run across anything else visually scarring?!

#FunFridayPhoto We currently don't have a coffee table - too many littles running around our house for that - but I still have my favorite coffee table books. I bought way too many of them when I worked at a bookstore years ago. It was tough to choose between my New Yorker book or my stack of Audrey Hepburn books. I went with the cartoons.
