Not the best #cozymystery I‘ve read. I think the narration was the main problem for me - it just wasn‘t great.
But I enjoyed the Halloween/fall setting! And I would try more books by this author.

In all fairness, I don't tend to like cozy mysteries. Usually, though, they don't go so far as to bug me. This one was pretty irritating. Not only was the MC's casual sleuthing completely unbelievable, but most of the characters were borderline annoying. The writing hasn't aged well, either.

Absolute $h*t!!! Seriously, not only was the story completely unbelievable... I mean, what frickin police department is just gonna go to some random stay at home mom's house to discuss an arson and murder investigation with her over frickin coffee!?! But it was also so full of judgmental, pretentious, smug bullshit. The pro-bullying and fat shaming was too much for my tastes. But hey, 12 points total for #teamslaughter #scarathlon
