Thanks to FB, I know I was in NYC on this day in 2014! Just a taste of what me and my mom did that day…Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, and champagne at The Plaza, where we stayed. Awesome trip!

We are making a trip to New York City this weekend, and I am SO excited. I want to go to the New York Public Library very badly; however, they‘re still not open. This building is beautiful!!! What are some don‘t miss bookstores that I should visit? Aside from Strand, of course. 📚❤️

Hooked_on_books I haven‘t actually been to it, but Greenlight Bookstore in Brooklyn does some great stuff, so I‘m sure the store is worth checking out. 3y

A few short days before leaving Brooklyn after eight years and moving to Philadelphia, I read this book about about a group of wide-eyed babysitters on their first *real* trip to NYC, then talked about it with a fellow PA-to-NY-then-back-to-PA gal (and amazing writer!) I came back from a trip to NYC today, so I didn‘t get any #exercise, but I sure did while I was there!
🗽Went to the Friends 25th anniversary pop up and did my best Monica shimmy.
🗽Got a little treat from Tiffany‘s.
🗽Took in the Feast Of San Gennaro festival in Little Italy & had lunch with this cutie as our server.
🗽Saw Tom Hiddleston on Broadway! Our seats were 2nd row! And I have no more words about that!

It is an amazing city!!! I have a cousin who lives there, I should jump on a plane and visit her eventually!!! 5y

LiteraryinLawrence The Morgan Library could be a nice stop. The library itself is swoon-worthy and they often have interesting bookish exhibits. I went once during a The Little Prince exhibit and loved it. 7y

FictionFox In Times Square there's a pizza place called John's on like 41st or 42nd & 8th. It's across the street from Phantom of the Opera. It's delicious!!! The Strand is wonderful. 😁📚 if you're near Brooklyn you can check out Word (bookstore). There's one right across the river in Jersey City too! Might be closer. Like 15 mins on the path. 7y

VioletBramble Bookstores to check out: McNally Jackson on Prince St, and Book Culture on W 112. Places to eat : The Grey Dog, Hummus Kitchen, Peacefood and Beyond Sushi. The last two are vegan. All have multiple locations, are affordable, comfortable with friendly staff. Bakeries: City Bakery and Breads- both near Union Square and the Strand. Cookies at Milk & Cookies on Commerce St. My sister recommends gelato at Amorino on University place. 7y

VioletBramble Places to see: Chihuly Exhibit at The New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx. Governors Island~history, food trucks, great view of the Statue of Liberty, art exhibits, mini golf, biking, kayaking or relaxing in hammocks. A "fun" museum- Museum of the Moving Image, Museum of Sex, Museum of Math. 7y
