April #BOTM picks! I actually wanted 4 books but decided on these 3. I was hoping for Libertie so I‘m glad it was a pick. I was pleasantly surprised about Love in Color since it‘s been on my radar for a couple of months but I wasn‘t expecting BOTM to pick it up. Firekeeper‘s Daughter‘s been getting a lot of buzz and I think I‘ll enjoy it.
I added Arsenic and Adobo as an add-on for my May box.
I decided to go with a member fave, Recursion, for my January #BOTM pick, and Anxious People for my free BOTY option. I added Black Buck as an add-on since I want to try more debuts in 2021. Also, I‘m very excited for the reward candle :)
Glad to see The Office of Historical Corrections as a #BOTM this month! I really wanted Legendborn as my add-on, but since I only need 2 debuts to complete the BOTM reading challenge, I added 2 debut add-ons instead, which I‘m still excited for. And one was free since it‘s my birthday month (woo!).
I had this book on my TBR already so I was really excited to see it as a #BOTM pick. I *almost* added A Deadly Education, but I might just get it from the library at a later time.
July #BOTM pick. I enjoyed Gods of Jade and Shadow so I‘m looking forward to this one.
pickInteresting fictionalized account of the first female under sheriff in the U.S. I read this for the #readwithmrbook March prompt - #authoronlitsy. It was also a great read for Women‘s History Month.
so-so@MrBook For the #ReadWithMrBook challenge, I read Blindness for #1wordtitle. I didn‘t really like this one but it was interesting enough to finish. I liked the writing style itself, but there were a lot of long-winded parts that broke up the progression of the story, and the story was really bleak. I usually don‘t mind dystopian books but this one just was not an enjoyable read for me. I gave it 2 out of 5 stars.
These are my 2 Amazon First Reads picks this month. I love the beautiful covers! (Also, they seemed interesting lol)
I was debating between these 2 and The Man Who Played with Fire. I may still get this one at a later time.
