Halfway There | Susan Mallery

🤓 A month ahead of schedule. I can‘t help it, I‘m a goals/numbers person and like to compete with myself. This is a true #blamelitsy moment for me. 😆 Before I joined this fantastic community 3 years ago, my one-year record was 52 (which, don‘t get me wrong, is awesome), however, my reading has increased so much because of all of you fabulous readers! What great influences you are! 😙😙

HeatherBookNerd Hot damn!!! 1w

Cinfhen Great!!!! I‘m still behind on posting those reviews... that‘s the real challenge 🙄 1w
Kalalalatja Litsy is such a big motivator! Well done 👏👏👏 1w
Freespirit Fantastic work. I agree Litsy motivates me to vary my reading and has introduced me to some brilliant books. My goal is 50 so I'm in awe of everyone else's goals! (edited) 1w
britt_brooke @HeatherBookNerd @baes @BarbaraBB Audiobooks account for probably half. That‘s the only way I have time for this many. 😄🎧 1w
britt_brooke @Cinfhen It IS a challenge. I try to do them right away, but it doesn‘t always work out. It helps that my reviews are super short. 😆 1w
britt_brooke @Freespirit Litsy is the reason I started reading graphic novels and listening audiobooks in addition to physical and ebooks. There‘s so much more out there than I ever realized. 💚 1w

Ready or not, here I go...I‘ve been procrastinating, even though I know I have to get off of my butt and get moving, so I think @wanderinglynn ‘s challenge is just what I need.

Goals: Books-6 Fitness-85,000steps/week

My side is already hurting just from thinking about it. 😅 🚶🏽‍♀️

TheBookAddict @Cinfhen yeah, that was me when I started working with toddlers and then with preschoolers. 😔 😝 but we‘ll fix that right up with our fitness goals! We can do it!!! 🙌🏽 2w

I listened to this audio as a #BlameLitsy choice. Honestly I felt it was over hyped. It was ok, but not great for me.

I would do a lot for my family, but draw the line at cleaning up murder victims. No thanks.

#bookhaul 🎉🎉

I spent my Amazon gift card gift from @TheSpineView this week! Space Opera is definitely a #blamelitsy purchase, and the Haunted House create-a-story kit has been on my list for a while, as a fun family activity to do during my recovery period. When I saw it at a super-low price, I grabbed it! Thanks again, @TheSpineView !!

TheReadingMermaid I so love your tea cup! 💖🍵💖 1mo

Book haul! Took in a few books to trade in at 2nd & Charles, and used up my credits! The tagged book is for Maya (but I‘ll probably read it too!), and I picked up My Name Is Leon mainly because I remembered @Cinfhen and @TrishB ‘s positive reviews! 😘 #blamelitsy

Ok, Litsy. You persuaded me that #audiocleaning is a worthwhile endeavor. Audiobooks are usually difficult for me - too easily distracted maybe? Anyhoo, I succumbed. And succeeded. So listening to nonfiction while doing chores is def something I‘ll try again. Thanks for that! #blamelitsy #eventhoughiownthisbookiusedhooplatolisten #hoopla

WhatDeeReads Audiocleaning is the only way I can clean. If the book is good I find myself cleaning more just to keep listening. 2mo

This is the story about the Dionne quintuplets as told from the point of view of a fictional nurse who is with them the day they are born, and for the next 5 years as the girls live in Quintland on display every day for millions of tourists to see. I‘ve always been fascinated by the quints and this book just made me even more curious about their lives. It‘s a tragedy in its own right. They were deprived normal childhoods and were then abused by ⬇️

JenlovesJT47 Their father once their parents regained custody of them at 9 years old. I took my time reading this so I could enjoy it. I felt I was right there with Emma. I was also surprised at the ending, as I thought it was going to go the predictable route but didn‘t. 5⭐️ Highly recommended! 2mo
FantasyChick I have been seeing this book around a lot lately and I am dying to read it! 2mo

#TBRtemptation post 4! First in a (so-far trilogy) series. Manhattan, 1964. Recent Bryn Mawr grad Vivian Schuyler bucks Fifth Ave tradition entering the Mad Men world of Metropolitan Magazine. A parcel arrives whose contents concern family history & an aunt wiped from records.

Berlin, 1914. Violet Schuyler Grant endures her rocky marriage to a scientist so as to be a physicist. A British captain offers something else.
