Had me laughing & cringing from start to end. I really enjoyed learning about Howie, especially with him as narrator♥️♥️
pickBecause I hate to wait to download audiobooks from the library, I end up with some options I might not otherwise be interested in. Like this one. However, as an audiobook I really enjoyed listening to Howie talk about his issues and his life experiences. I kind of wish he‘d left out the story of entertaining at a stag party, but his other stories were interesting and had me chuckling.
After my last audiobook fiasco, I decided to download this book from the library. I can‘t listen to fiction on audio for some reason so I lean toward memoirs. I remember Howie from St. Elsewhere and loved his comedy act years ago. The first 30 minutes has been great, but his story of having sandflies lay eggs under his skin when he was a kid is like something from The Twilight Zone.

My mom took a renewal on this one, for a deep read that she really enjoyed. I returned it to the library today, but will plan a reading time for checking it out as well. It sounds like an insightful view from Howie's journey through acting, while dealing with heavy anxiety struggles on avoiding germs. ❇️
Here's the deal, I'm going to buy 5,000 acres of land. On that land, I'm going to have a town center with 3 bookstores, 2 libraries, 6 cafes, 3 bakeries, 3 delis, 2 tater tot shops, 21 different restaurants with varying ethnic cuisines, 2 theaters, 2 cinemas, a museum, a big supermarket, a home repair store, 2 parks, a doctors' complex, & 1,000 homes. I picked up Howie's book for my mom, who asked me to have a look for it. I may give it a read as well sometime. I've seen Howie's recent #BellLetsTalk videos on anxiety. I'm grateful that my new job is focused on dish washing, while fast cooking gets me panicked. Various cases may get frowns of doubt, but is a real ongoing struggle.
