A friend in my horror books group on Facebook told me about the Charlie Parker series. It‘s not horror, per se, but it certainly is gripping! There‘s a smidge of paranormal but really too little to count. I‘m really enjoying them (this is only my second) and I feel that I‘m pretty picky when it comes to crime thrillers.

The follow-up to the first book in the Charlie Parker series was absolutely brilliant, i'm loving these characters and can't wait to get the third book; Mr. Connolly you're a damn fine author! 👌

Oh Charlie Parker how I adore you and your view of the world. 💜

I just finished up the second book in this series and yet again we find the main character, who is still tormented by his family's murder, striving to do something good in the world around him. Parker is on the search for another sadistic serial killer only this one has link to his own childhood.

I‘m finding so many aspects to this writer. The wise guy ( & so funny ) & then , as in this quote , the poet ... so profound. ❤️

I'm so bad about not reading the synopsis on the back of books. @lute I wasn't disappointed in this book. But, bc I didn't read anything about it, I was expecting it to be more like The Book of Lost Things. I'm definitely getting the next in the series bc I like Charlie Parker, Angel and Louis and want to see how I feel about the Charlie Parker series unfettered by assumptions. ⭐⭐⭐.5

I struggle with compassion on a daily basis. I tend to catch myself thinking of their situation and how much worse it could be. Great insight!

The first book in the Charlie parker series was so good that i just had to pick this up from the library and it was a corker, a thrill right to the very last page and with this edition including a summary of the future books in the series I'll definitely be reading the next soon.
