Graphic/Comic book. This book is mostly made up of a story through pictures. I like this because children can make their own interpretations.

I love how at the end in the comic it talks about the comic itself and it makes you realize there was a pattern you go back to look through to see for yourself!

I love the simplicity of this book, allows readers to really look into the panels of pictures and use their imagination along with the brief summary to figure out what is happening! Such a good idea!

This is a graphica that contains several stories where most of the dialog is in the short synopsis at the beginning of the story, it looks like a journal entry, followed by a series of panels showing the story. There are few words in each story apart from the beginning. Love this!

I love this! This book barely used any text or dialogue, but kids can still pick up on the story line. Maybe not a great read aloud, but great for independent reading and activities

This is a very interesting book! It uses subtle comic strips to tell several different short stories. It is heavily focused on illustration rather than text / speech

This comic book is a collection of short stories. Some of which include text and some that are strictly illustrations. The author included 3 short stories that were originally published in 2003 despite the publication of this story in 2016. The style changes throughout the story but each story has an explanation.

There‘s no sweater weather in Malaysia except when we are in a freezing air con room or at the highlands. This prompt reminded me of this movie though 😅 with Jennifer Beals dancing in a sweater 🤣

I wanted to show off my new jumper, I don't know how those Instagrammers do it, because it took me about 20 attempts to get something that wasn't horrifying.

Anyway, I love my new jumper (and in case you also a grammar nerd, and wonder if it needs an apostrophe, apparently it's technically grammatically acceptable to have it like this - depending on the style guide you use - I did spend quite some time checking...🤓).

This book is a collection of comics drawn by Varon when she was just starting out, and include the story Sweater Weather. Before each comic Varon tells the reader what she was thinking or why she drew what she did, or the reason she used certain medium. In all honesty, I found this book rather boring. Not the Varon books that have grown so popular. Very much an artist trying to find her voice.

It's definitely #sweaterweather out here on Oregon right now! And when I got sick, it was even sweater-inside-the-house-plus-blanket-wrapped-around-head weather! 😂 I'm obsessed with this new sweater because it has two huge pockets. #melandprireadathon
