So, for August's pick, we kind of have a problem: two books (Gideon the Ninth and This is How you Lose the Time War) have the same votes. I'm asking you to decide between these two books. I also want to talk about the last thing someone wrote. I explicitly asked you to propose books if you didn't find any of your likings, and I'm doing this alone. Furthermore, half of those books are not YA and neither were the ones from last time.

I finished two books for an exam that was nullified after I took it because according to them some people cheated. I also finished and reviewed Since Sinai.

Would anyone be interested in a monthly #buddyread or a #bookclub with discussion about #lgbtq books? I lean toward f/f or enby rep but we could all decide a book together and read it together!

There are many things I liked about this novel, which deals with topics such as death, suicide, a deadly virus... Although How High We Go in the Dark deals mostly sith the relationship between people, be it relatives, neighbors, strangers.
I enjoyed the strucutof the chapters, following a person each⬇️

I don't have much to say about this book. Some of the interviews to immigrant children were interestesting, but I disagreed with some points being made and was baffled at the prejudices some of those kids have about Italians. Overall, meh.

Today I'm showing you the only shelf I managed to clean today. I tried, with my leg and all.
These are mostly Darren Shan books, he's an auto-buy author of mine. Other books of his are on my TBR shelves. To keep the ones I read company there are the Nevernight trilogy by Jay Kristoff and the Hunt trilogy by Andrew Fukuda

I'm doing electrostimulation for my leg and since no one is speaking to me I'm reading the tagged book. It's a conversion to Judaism story.
Meanwhile, my leg and foot aren't really improving and I can't walk without a brace. They said it'll take 6 months/a year and honestly I don't really feel positive right now. I'm pretty down, but reading helps as a distraction

A very sad book, but really interesting. So far I finished 3/4 books tho (Writers on Writing, From Akhenaten to Moses, and Educare nelle Periferie)

Today I received a book from a publisher!
I requested it, and I didn't expect for them to tell me they'd send me a physical copy (it's really rare in Italy). I already love it from what the blurb says, and it gives me witchy vibes. I hope I'll be able to get to it soon but I have other books to read first!

This book examines the differences and similarities between the religion of Akhenaten & Judaism, as well as it analyzes certain theories about Religion and the difference between the “paganism“ of Egyptian religion and Monotheism.
I find it quite an interesting and informative read that I recommend for anyone interested in the subject.

I started my new #bujo by making the calendar. As you can see, my June is PACKED with stuff to do, and I have to add other stuff as well. Mostly it's #bookblog stuff because I recently started to post again, but there are also two exams on there, one of which is tomorrow. I added the #camplitsy deadlines and the #joysofjunereadathon days and the #20in4 ones ☺️
Busy busy but I'm trying to read in between

It's my bedtime so this marks the end of the second day of the #joysofjunereadathon for me.
I've finished another book (Educare nelle periferie) and I kept reading another two, for a total of 3 hours and 49 mins. Yesterday i read for 2 hours and 51 mins, making it 6 hours and 40 minutes towards my total goal of 20. I still haven't finished How High We Go In The Dark.

This book wasn't really my cup of tea, let's say. It just didn't interest me enough to really get into it and I just hoped it would finish soon. I still give it two stars and a half because I think what it's trying to convey is important. I really hope I pass this exam 😂😂😂
