A lonely, depressed and fearful woman remembers her past and the attack on her best friend and murder of her brother. A man may be wrongly accused but that makes him no less a monster. The story of her own redemption, getting back her life, is great. Really enjoyed this murder mystery with all its twists and turns. #scarathlon #teamslaughter @Clwojick

Murder mystery thriller about a wrongly accused ex-con who works with undercover cops to nail the guy who did it then and is doing it now. Murder, that is. Good read. #teamslaughter #scarathlon @Clwojick

Last weekend I met the couple that inspired the bookstore owner couple in this book. I met them with Litsy friends in the bookstore that was also the inspiration for this book. The story is a sweet, feel good story that is a very quick read. Two couples, one couple opening the bookstore and the other falling in love in the store. A little predictable, but a good break from other books

I like the format of two perspectives from two characters switching back and forth chapter by chapter. For some reason, however, it doesn't work for this book. The story of two women who come together with stories that become interwoven. It left me a little flat with an ending I didnt see coming but not in a good way, it simply wasn't believable.

I got about half way through before I started to lose interest. It didn't grab my attention and have me turning pages for more which I know is what the author was going for. I finished it but I was as disappointed by the end as I was by the middle.

It was a little tough to get into, she writes sentences in full paragraphs. But once I got the hang of her style, I enjoyed this book. A mysterious and beautiful cousin causes a young man to be blinded by...love? Who knows.

This is so beautiful, I would love to have it. It brings back the fondest memories. I read it as a young girl & loved it so much. I wanted to be Jo! This is one of those books that brings up a memory, a feeling and a sense of being the age I was when I read it and how I saw the world at that time in my life. It has been more than 40 years since I read it, but the memory is quite vivid. Thanks for the opportunity! #littlewomengiveaway @britt_brooke

I love Amanda Quick. Her characters are smart and quirky. Her women are never shrinking violets. Her men are never overbearing. She throws in a little mystery with the love story. I really enjoy her books. They are easy to read but not fluffy. #catsoflitsy

Another in the continuing story of the Malory family. I have read them all and enjoyed them. Johanna Lindsey has been a favorite for many years in this genre. I love the idea of seeing the side stories in one book become front and center in the next. Squeezing in a mention of all of the names and connections from the prior stories in the first few chapters was a little forced, but it was my only complaint. Easy to read, entertaining. #dogsoflitsy

I like a good mystery on occasion. This one was easy to read. I didn't guess the twist until 2/3 through, so I consider that a successful story. It was interesting and kept me engaged. I will read this author again.

It was her first book and, as I expected, not her best offering. However, I still have to rate it a pick because there isn't anything between so-so and pick. I am glad I read it. It is sweet and extremely easy to read, which is what I needed after two 1,100+ page books.

World Without End | Ken Follett

These characters make me so mad sometimes, but that is what keeps me coming back. I feel like I know them. The characters are so well developed that I feel like I am a part of their story (gratefully, I am not -- tough times). It is Follett's gift that he puts his reader into the mind and perspective of each different character flawlessly from chapter to chapter. This was was longer than I wanted it to be but the last 300 pages flew by for me.

I thought this was a sweet story. Real love is not necessarily about butterflies and fireworks. It is about shared moments, shared history, commitment, and deep connections. The hero of this story is everything you hope for in the man that loves you.

This book includes a chapter per King/Queen through the ages and is a great resource for understanding royal lineage, succession, intrigue and drama. Everything I have cross-referenced in other books and articles validates the history. I use this book as a reference guide for all things royal-historical. I have read many like it, but this is my hands down favorite

When I was young, there were no e-books. I loved collecting books. For a short time I joined their characters in adventures & they became a part of me. My books were little treasure chests. Flash forward 20+ years & my little treasures had been moved all over while my life went on. Many got ruined and eventually I had to throw some away & admit I had no room for others. I hated losing them & now I am thrilled to have e-books. What about you?

melissanorr I still regularly buy paper books but I love the convenience of ebooks. I originally bought an ereader after being stuck in an airport for 11 hours with only one book 😲 I will frequently check out heavy library books (I'm looking at you, Alexander Hamilton biography) as ebooks to make it easier to have them when I want to read. 6y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I still love having real books!!! I have a kindle fire and an iPad, but I‘m old school and love the real thing!! 📚📚 6y
Elizabeth2 I switch back and forth and each has their advantages. Ebooks are great for those heavy tomes that can be hard on the wrists to hold, and for bookshelf space. But being able to pass around a beloved book is much easier with a paper copy because most ebook platforms limit how many times and the length of time you can share. 6y
SandyW I have completely embraced the e book. No matter where I am, I ALWAYS have a book with me. I don't have to plan for it, I have book apps on all my devices. I can read in bed without hub complaining that the book light is too bright. And best of all, I can instantly look up a word, piece of artwork, or location whenever I come across something I'm unfamiliar with. I even listen to a song when an author brings it up. 6y
Purrfectpages I have to admit I've migrated to ebooks pretty much exclusively. It's easier to get them and I love that I can be away from home and have so many books to choose from to read. 6y

LOVED this book. It was recommended to me by a friend and I positively consumed it. I love the way Follett included real people from history while weaving together the story. I love comparing the stories to historical facts to see what is similar and different. For me, it really enhances the story when the historical content is well researched.
