Poisoned Pen Bookstore here in Scottsdale - THRILLER. MYSTERY. HEAVEN!!!
Thanks A.J Finn for bringing in my trip with a SCARE!! Creepy finishing this up, at 2am my time, with major jet lag, in a stranger's airbnb. Talk about SPOOKED.
LOVED IT!!! 🤯🤯
Although it took more than six hours 😁
That was a delicious read!! But the references towards the generation now was(is) annoying. Period. (that's one of them) and Cardi B. 🤣🤣🤣 Plenty of laughs as I enjoyed Bri's character a lot. Some things could have been avoided, but there is no denying what she has... and that's bars.
Good for nap time, shhhh.
This is much fun, Happy Wednesday!! Thanks @Eggs
1) Corrine Bailey Rae - Put Your Records On (2006)
2) Team Taurus, fierce bull!
3) Omar Tyree - although I haven't read anything from him in years, his books got me through the toughest years of my life, I must say(14-18). So Happy Early 50th birthday to Omar Tyree!!
OMG - So, my hubby is sending me on a much needed MOMCATION end of this month. Phoenix!!! Here I come, just me and my TBR Shelf. I have three I already want to bring which includes tagged. Any #Littens have some recommendations for a good read in Phoenix? (Strong Female lead, any genre, something airy and good feels) Any Littens want to meet up for Brunch and Books? 😁😁 I am so excited.
This is such a compelling and touching quick read. I really enjoyed how honest and telling the author is about her life as nurse. After spending time in the ICU waiting room, this gave me better insight into the nurses world. A better understanding. I enjoyed every minute, from the patients to the nurses.
Good choice!! @Crazeedi
Sweet Little Lies I presumed was a thriller, yet I was left reading more police procedures than anything. Although the story was well written with great character developments, it was very very slow...which made it difficult to hold my attention. It was........ OK.
Reminds me of the small town that I live in now ☺
Beautiful Day out here in North Dakota, yes!!! Getting out to enjoy it.
Monday *exhales* bedtimmmmme. ahh the sweet smell of eucalyptus and a good book.
This week's read.
A solid 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ read!! The family dynamics throughout this novel is very dark and telling, emotional connection for the win. A lot of twists and turns that I didn't see coming. Had me changing my mind about who was responsible for the crime with each chapter. The flashbacks from past to present were confusing at first but later on in the chapters it all made sense, and I am glad I stuck with it. I would definitely read another book from this author
Ehh, The plot twists were great, but certainly not neccessary. I don't see what was accomplished with the ending 🤔 I must admit, it GOT ME.
And Alicia writes in her diary super weird. Not to mention she WRITEs a whole chapter in her diary after being injected with opiates.
I wanted to love it, I just can't. 🙄🙄
1) Looking forward to three days away at a Bed and Breakfast ❤
2) I enjoy my creativity when it comes to writing
3) I managed to write 50k short story in two weeks 😳😆
4) Every Litten I've come across have been so nice and sweet!!!! Happy Spring fellow Littens ❤
Thanks for the tag!!! @jenniferajanes
Love the beginning stages of learning letters... 😁
Okay, this was a tough read for me. It started off promising, hopes of reading about gentrification and all the comes with it. But this novel fell flat for me. I found myself skimming through the chapters after being 45% into the book. The main character, her actions throughout the book are annoying and was pointless. The novel didn't stay focused for me as it switched POV and settings too often. Too many unlikable characters, some unwarranted.
