Soubhiville I really liked all of his books. They are all sad and all have difficult parts, but beautiful writing and like @Cinfhen said, worth the crying to me. 3y

Librariana Much like you, I also consider myself a HSP and much like @JamieArc, I can't willingly go into books that I know will emotionally drain me. Thus, I have not read it. 3y

EvieBee @Librariana Yes! And sometimes I have to discontinue books because of unexpected heavy things. Wish there was an HSP warning on book. 3y

(Shriver, Winman, King), a book I‘ve owned since I was a little‘un (Pooh) and one of my Great-grandma‘s (Bronte of course) 💕 plus a pretty penguin classic and a graphic memoir that made me #uglycry , some musings from a rock god and a super fun epistolary....
A really good stack this one 😍

Yes I‘m a notorious#crybaby but this book! There are a couple of scenes that gave me a proper #uglycry !

But this book also has a special place in my heart. When I moved to the US (10 yrs ago) I knew no-one but my hubby‘s family. I missed my friends terribly. So I joined an IRL bookclub, and met the most amazing women, many of whom I now call family. And now I run it too! This was the first book I read with them.💕
